He mentioned that his goal of this was to bring the issue to light and help get things resolved for people with issues.

Don't you think that adding "ANOTHER" middle man would only contribute to the ongoing confusion here?
Would it be possible that YOU should address at least some of the claims stated here by several of "accusers"?

I actually think its a good idea in principle. It has to be somebody universally respected though, difficult to think of anybody who isn't emotionally invested in this in some way.
