i thought it would be real nice to share some of the emails i receive from fellow domainers trying to sell their crappy names.

hopefully, some of you will read these and stop sending or see the mistakes they make so you won't make them too.

here is one from Andrew Brad, and if he is a member here...he's a clown! why? because he included every other email address he sent this mail to. thus one could harvest his list and spam them too.

To whom it may concern,

The premium generic aged domain FREDLOYAINSURANCE.NET is up for sale and I am emailing several parties that have registered similar domains OR use "[fredloya], [fredloya insurance], [loya insurance], [fred loya claims], [fredloya locations] etc." as keywords in their advertising campaigns. This is a 6-year old domain, with no drops since it was registered in 2006.

According to the Google Traffic Estimator the keywords ‘Fredloya Insurance’ receive over 40,500 searches every month, thus making this a high SEO premium domain worth thousands of dollars.

Right now, the asking price for FredLoyaInsurance.net is just $250, and is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Yes, you read it right, $250 ONLY.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a great domain at a throw-away price. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me an email or call me directly at +91. 939-2774-412.

All transactions will held either via Paypal or via the secure services of Escrow.com.

Best regards,

Andrew Brad

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
i could post 5-10 of these a day here but whats the point? they aren't going to stop. they are losers.

I actually got a message today from a service AdvanceNames.com.

They were offering a domain I actually was interested in, and was offering it at the massive price of $39.99.

I felt that the price point was somewhat odd, so I opened up my terminal and did a WhoIs on the domain name.

As it turns out... it was available and I registered it with GoDaddy for $9 USD.

It's a niche I support and own a few quality names within, so it looks like this junk mail did me some service. Thanks AdvanceNames.com for your inefficient process!

Now I will patiently await eMails from 10+ SEO/Dev companies trying to sell me their junk.

@DomainVP - I've don't that a few times. An alternative on this theme is the domain is already in GoDaddy Closeouts. I've picked up a few of those too.

Not sure how to take this email...did buy that domain because it was a typo of a major Chinese domain (English letters, last two letters reversed).
Was think of "parking it at Sedo" and replying after and letting them (Sedo)handle it..?
Any opinions

Making Lemonade from Lemons

*

There is one spammer who tries to sell recently deleted domains for $19.97 -- and I mean "ready-to-reg" domains.

I love this guy!

Mostly his names are crap, but occasionally he becomes the goose that lays the golden egg, hawking solid names that have fallen through the cracks.

I just regged one today (I'm not going to reveal the name because I would not want to clue him in that I'm on to him, LOL -- he's my link to good names, and he doesn't even know it).

So, fellow NP'ers, take the lemons that these spammers send you, make lemonade, and then, for good measure, add a shot of rum.

:)

It's from someone at vip.163.com, right? I get those all of the time. I've never responded.

Hello,

I get the ones all the time: "We can see that you have registered Alibabacat.xxx so we want to offer Alibabacatfood.xxx".

I do never reply to these either.

New player in town and a repeat spammer too:

From: Andres Ramirez <[email protected]>
Subject: Sell your domains at a premium
Dear Hostmaster,

You are losing money by sitting on your domains. We've had thousands of sellers use our domain marketplace to attract premium bids for their website.

Come see why more and more sellers are signing up with Undeveloped. Signing up just takes a minute. https://undeveloped.com/users/signup

You should reply and say that you want to buy it.

There's nothing more frustrating than when someone says they will but your site, and then don't.

The people @undeveloped.com continue to spam:
Dear Hostmaster,

Selling your domains is easier now that there is a marketplace that attracts buyers and encourages interactions that lead to sales. At Undeveloped we are solely focused on helping you sell your domains, nothing more, nothing less.

For example on the left you see a parking page from Undeveloped for i-moved.com and on the right this is what a typical parking page looks like. One is bright, inviting and transparent the other is shady and confusing. Is the domain on the right even for sale?

Help potential buyers connect to you today. Real business owners with real business ideas ready to launch are your best chance to command premium prices for your domains.

Get your beautiful parking page here: https://undeveloped.com/users/signup and start selling your domains today.

Thanks,

Andres

Hi Kate,

Andres indeed contacted you as he came across your portfolio domains and thought you'd be interested to learn more about Undeveloped. Our sincere apologies if we came across like spammers.

At the bottom of all our messages we include the following options: "If you'd like me to stop sending you emails, please click here" - feel free to click one of those links.

Andres will be back from vacation next week. I'll personally make sure he doesn't contact you anymore ;)

Take care!
Nasreen

Yes, but I normally don't use that option for emails that are spam, because it just serves as a confirmation to the spammers that the E-was received, so you may very well receive more spam in the future.
On the other hand, I could blacklist your domain name and IP address on our mail server, and also share details with partners.

In related news: received two spams from Intelend today (again) with the same domain in title. They can't even spam right.

I usually reply back and offer to sell them the name that led them to believe I may be interested in their similar name.

I usually say something like: "Why not buy whatever.whatever from me and package the names together and have a real chance at a sale."

it never works though.

Completely useless domains.

Hello,

Seeing that you have a similar domain name, I was wondering if you
would have interest in acquiring bulllshitnonsenseidiotic.com?

Eagerly awaiting your response.

Cristal

You were wondering and now you are not.

Using female names? Identity crisis?
