Hi,

I thought there should be a thread where users can showcase there newly acquired .domains
Many interesting domains have already been registered. What .domains do you have?

As I'm holding a large portfolio of IDNs, I am happy with my MultiLingual domains

inter.domains available for hand reg, "international.domains" is reserved by the Registry. Don't miss the chance to add this domain to your portfolio.
I think it's a great domain for you :)

GoTo.Domains - just got on namecheap cheaper
Excellent.Domains (last week same place)

Wonder why gotonames.com and excellentdomains.ca didn't grab them?
Both are highly developed.

Why buy a used Yugo, when you own a Mercedes?

favorite .domains single word, still available
favoritedomains .com registered since 1999

I would pass on this opportunity to let someone else have it.
Been hoarding up domains too greedily. :D

Hi Stub,
I think it worked out at a couple of hundred dollars with the current exchange rates.. I am very happy with it and have an idea for development. Curious to know what you think on the price i paid?
Thanks

On the face of it, it seems quite a lot, compared to the regfee of $23. But considering you had competition (possibly from uniquedomains.com) and you wanted the domain badly (obviously) I think it's a fair (bordering on high) price for the domain. I think you could have found a similar name for regfee (if you weren't attached to the name). But for a one-off price to get a decent domain for development, it's not too high. What is your development budget? How many bidders were there in the auction?

Not to mention the TM issues here. When will people ever learn ?

goto and excellent is too generic to worry about trademarks... what are your qualifications for criticizing someone about trademark law? I have a legal degree and 10 years experience in trademarks.

Forgive me for laughing but this seemed quite funny: "In 2014 he was involved with the release of many new top level domain names"

Involved in the release of new gTLDs? Were you a registry operator or a member of any of ICANN's advisory groups? Or is the truth a bit more mundane in that you were, like many others just a registrant? :) It is certainly an interesting bio though.

We registered www.efty.domains a couple of days back.

We might use it for Efty Market (one of our features) when we launch our beta next month. For now it's just forwarding to our main website.

OK I understand now, you are registering all those trademarks on behalf of their respective holders. I thought you might be inadvertently squatting.
I gave you a like for troll of the month :)

Second Life is generic: Can simply mean to give things a second life as in recycle.

There are many trademarks for apple, shop, search, etc.... that doesn't mean those trademark holders get all those domains!

More importantly... the trademark holder you mentioned had their chance during the sunrise period and gave up their right by knowingly passing.

BS, it's not generic and you termed Second Life with the extension .land - https://secondlife.com/land/

You even mentioned it on your page and linked to it with stats and everything. Clear squatting.

"I have a legal degree and 10 years experience in trademarks"

When some people read that, they might think lawyer, maybe in trademark law. Reading your site, it says you were a paralegal for a few years with a certificate, not degree. And what is your 10 years experience in trademarks mean exactly? Because I don't see any of that experience being applied to the domains you buy.

So in your limited, closed .com mind... everybody who registers a domain name that has a trademarked word is a cybersquatter. So if there is roofrepairbusinessinnyc.com who has the trademark "roof nyc" and then someone registers roof.repair.... in your closed mind that would be cybersquatting.

Why buy a used Yugo, when you own a Mercedes?

In your closed .com mind, that's your reality.

But the reality is new.tld is a Tesla: Lightweight, catchy, stylish, priced higher than .com. Many thought the Tesla would fail but their stock soared!

.com is old, desperate (selling for 99c on namecheap), big like a unpractical SUV. People's minds are mostly in this category, not just your mind. But eventually they will see the new TLDs as the Tesla.

That makes sense, if the TM holders did not secure the domains for their brands and all possible variations in the hundreds of TLDs that already exist, that means they relinquish their TM rights.
Therefore, Second Life, Goto etc are not valid TMs. Thank you very much for your insight.

By the way, my name is Barack Hussain Obama.

I'm not anti-gtld, in fact I have a few, but it's unsubstantiated, ridiculous. and insulting comments like this, where and why you loose any credibility in here, especially to the anti-gtld crowd, to your pro-gtld interest-visions. Its hard enough to convince others to what you see and believe with the new gtlds, but ".com is dead" type of comments, just adds credence to one's lack of experience, true understanding and knowledge of the domain name game. Believe it - .com is not old or desperate! It's just got a lot more company out there now.

Credibility? Ha, most of you are nefarious trolls with not enough productive work. There are ZERO qualifications to post comments in this forum, so what does credibility matter? Some of you are teens who are in the process of maturing into responsible, productive adults, but many of you won't make it to that point without first going to prison or getting in big trouble somewhere.

Visiting this forum has become like living an episode of The Twilight Zone. Now there's another thread by some guy who wants to run his own registry wherein he owns all the domains and no one can control their domain. The Twilight Zone.

Very fitting for the .whatever launch, however. Possibly a result of it...
