What are you thoughts of the letter "z" replacing an "s"?

For example...

videogamerz.com
teenforumz.com
etc.

Can it be added as part of the name of the site? Or is it just a huge no-no?

I own a few like this... My forum is spelt this way and is veryyy popular and it good for urban related domains, ex: trimz, muzik etc but not good at all for domains like, ex: dentistz, medicalz etc

anywhoo there is already a thread about this somewhere here!! :)

They can be good like i have muzic but in general you will lose some traffic to the real words, as their pronunciation is nearly the same. This way actually your name is somewhat a mix of generic and brandable...

Completely and utterly stupid? Only symbolizing the downward spiral of correct grammar and spelling that america has been seeing thanks to "video games" and "hip-hop".

Just my 2 cents

I'd prefer an "s" any day.

Terrible domains to my eyes...

Yeah I think it’s a case of it’s ok if it’s appropriate to do so, like BD says it’s probably ok for anything that is a bit “street” but not so good for anything that is a bit more professional.

You aren't gonna get as much value as the real word but you might get some value if its like a one word or a very popular phrase.

Would appeal to the younger crowd.

This is similar to twitter.com vs. twittr.com which would u rather own (domain only)? But if you couldn't buy twitter.com and could buy the other one you probably would.

So it's worth something but not as much as the originals.

But it's not a huge no-no. But i would prefer the "s".

Might be acceptable in youth oriented cultured websites such as your examples but overall I'd avoid the Z.
