Hi Welcome to Np.

My advice is to stay away from registering domains for some time if you are new to this field.

Just Keepon reading. Have a Good Time here.

Excellent advice :tu:

You've certainly come to the right place -- Namepros and this particular section are in my opinion a newcomers best resource for the first few weeks. Keep reading and feel free to ask questions if you need help -- lots of friendly people around here willing to help :)

Taste Your Domains First. Play with this first.
There are many guys wasting $$$-$$$$ on stupid registrations.

Good Luck.

I agree. I have three suggestions.

1.) Research
2.) Research
3.) Research

If you stick to those three you will do fine.

When you're new, do your research and stick with the major TLDs (.com, .net, .org). ccTLDs can be dangerous if you're new to domaining.

How do .in domains compare . They should be cheaper to regular domains and more easily available . A good investment? .

.in are not cheaper to buy, they will cost around $15 I think - they may be good for a long-term investment if you can afford to renew them for a few years

As Brad suggested do these one by one (Do Not Jump over a step, do 1 then 2 then 3)

And Brad if you dont mind, I will add another suggestion to your list:

4.) Research

DO NOT use more money then you can afford to loose!

Good luck
