Yahoo Drops Google!

Yahoo dropped Google and replaced it with its own engine. Now that's big news. In less than twenty-four hours, Google went from about 79% of the market share to about 51%, almost overnight. And what a welcome relief it is too! Being Number 1 in Google was great, but when you had the misfortune of dropping even a couple of positions you really felt it. Now there will be more stability; if you drop in Google today, your hits from Yahoo will remain consistent.

I like Google and I won't stop using it becuase in Yahoo, it's harder to find something....

This seems very cool, especially because Google has seemed to change over the month, it has more results to newsgroups, and sites selling stuff, as if they are quicker for their wallet, and just dont care all that much about the people using their search engine.

I have been using Yahoo for some time, before they had Google... and it was alot better than google in my opinion.

Google recently got banned at school, because of its addwords and stuff like that.

There's nothing wrong with adwords... Infact, I find them to be the best kept and most appropriate adds. Yahoo has many adds I would think schools wouldn't want kids seeing.

yahoo is developing its own algo for the past 2 months. Still now you can get good positions in yahoo by some tricks like cloaking.(DONT CLOAK, search engines will ban your site if they find out) or by creating doorway pages(ITS considered as SPAM) and some call it as smart pages. .

But now you can do all sorts of tricks in yahoo as its in beginning stage which is really tough in google.
