A perfect example is Winning.xyz sold for $711 at Godaddy auctions and Swetha sold Happening.xyz for $40,000. Something doesn't seem right to me.
What doesn't seem right? Auctions typically see domainers, happening was likely an end user sale.

like I said keep on dreaming like rest of em...
You always sound envious and bitter. I started regging xyz domains 6 months ago and I am already in 2x profit. I have around 300 hundred names. I could literally let them all drop and would remain in profit. I hope you don't have a sad and lonely life out of Namepros.

that's not an opinion thats running xyz monopoly ..alone..forever. it's not a bad thing... but it kinda becomes bad when u deny it

Have you ever considered the fact that other domainers/investors might also be having some incredible amounts of xyz sales and they aren't just interested in reporting them, maybe because of people like you or maybe because they want to make the most out of it before others come to know.

I know some $xxxx xyz sales that haven't been reported, maybe because those sellers don't wanna attract individuals like you or may be they have some ulterior motives.

Of course it is fair to assume that no one (or hardly anyone) might be having sales at prices and volumes of Swetha's levels but there are plethora of 4 fig and 3 fig sales happening.

.xyz is really rocking right now, and you might not be having any clue about it. Open your eyes, research a little, scout social platforms and you will see the part of the iceberg that is under the sea level.

I wish you the best.

I’ve sold a 3 word xyz for 4 figs. Just got to have the right ones.

I’m not sure about the future of .xyz honestly. That is why I only buy domains that I could use to start a business that I have an interest in.

do I know u and if not then why is u talk like u know me is my friend for 500 years and beers heh
This confirms my suspicion. If your 500 years friends also tell you that you sound envious and bitter, It may be time to do something about it Mr. Alcy :)

I thought this place was for adults to learn and discuss the domain industry. It's getting more and more like a child's playground 😕

good luck with yer research of 2word xyz sales for 4..5.. and 6fig.

Here is one for you, I know this because I sold this domain to the seller for only $99 and he sold it via SH. I kept track of the domain.

I own a few (100 or so) XYZ names of really mixed quality. I have made a great ROI on buying them for 1$-10$ over the past half year. Do I believe XYZ will succeed in the long run, maybe (would be due to the adoption within the crypto community then) or maybe not (I do not see a broader appeal for the extension outside Crypto and general brand protection for big brands). That said, I will continue to buy and sell XYZ names as long as I continue to see nice demand in the wholesale market as well as retail market for it and as someone else wrote earlier in this thread, I am happy to make 10-100$ a name from time to time on 1-10$ invested and if none of the XYZ names I own today will sell from now on and I drop them I have still made a profit on the extension as such.

Just wanted to jump in on the monopoly discussion which I see from time to time here regarding @DNGear also.

Monopoly is per definition"The exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service."

@DNGear is not having a monopoly to begin with. She holds 22,000 names (a lot of them of the higher caliber quality, yes) but there are roughly 5 million XYZ names registered (correct me if I read the stats here wrong: https://ntldstats.com/tld). Even if she held 4,999,999 XYZ names she would still only control the pricing and sales of those not the one name she does not own (names are unique and prices of one XYZ does not equal the other - it is not a commodity like oil).

@DNGear does not (from what I know control the outlets selling XYZ names :)). If you do not control distribution, nor own even a fraction of all available names and sell at a price higher than everyone else does one cannot argue there is a monopoly situation.

However, one is always in the right to question how she makes the sales and why no one else is succeeding in the same way - better names is one reason, better sales tactics maybe another, better connections in the community of buyers - I do not know why but she is not selling more than then rest of us due to a monopoly exploit situation. We all (most of us) have XYZ names on the same marketplaces as her with the same potential visibility so she does something better than us outside of those marketplaces in selling, picking names or both.

It does not matter which extension. Crap names will never have a future.

is very simple reply winning sold for reseller and happening sold for final user and keep in mind that swetha portfolio has 22000 domain names a verrryyyyy huge number

I see we have a different understanding of good sales but that okay.

As far a the monopoly point I can see the point. Are you saying we need more regulation on the domain industry.

IMO if an investor decides to take all their money to buy the market up and in turn they’re rewarded. Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈.
Maybe this seller can sell our xyz domains. 🤭

Thinking .xyz is just the .info which everyone that knows me know I love .info.
Top extension that are here to stay .com, .net, .org, .info, .io, .co, xyz like it or not.

Yes stop the dreams and set realistic goals and grow..

no regulations. it's ok to monopolize.. some monopolize niche...some an extension... so what... they got lucky let em profit... the important and only thing others can do is remind others its.over.. the train gone.. move on.. that we cannot make same sales.like someone who owns 20k most sellable xYz names... it's not me..its not u...its math
.... I see future for xyz ..but it will be like present...for 1person.. i see no future for other than 1word xyz..minus few lotto winners but nobody cares for those... io co are nice..but
again it's all good 1word... really except for com.
any way we see it it's always just decent 1word that sell..

I will pay u 100 two word xYz names so u can sell for 1million and be nice happy man???

????? This makes no sense. 'you will pay 100 two word xyz names' ??? O_o
Your anti xyz rants have got you all riled up and now you're sputtering gibberish. Just let your .xyz bias/opinions go and move on to something else. Your heart will thank you.

I work with lots of buyer and am seeing an increase in buyers who are 'seeking' an XYZ. If asked why they like the extension, they point to its use by Alphabet and the memorable/easy to spell aspect. Certainly not the solution for everyone; but it has some stickiness and seems to be a growing niche like dot IO.

all the stuff u take blindly for granted duh

Im just saying imo that winning.xyz sold to and investor and happening sold to a end user.

If your xyz sells congratulations 🎉🍾 🎈every sellers can not sell the names for the same price.

Great domains drive a price but great sellers command a standard price point.

Don’t hate the player hate the game.

Stop the cap, Im not putting nothing in your mouth. There are good sells for xyz everyday, so once again I'm still wondering what's the problem..

Also I wondering if you're referring to your names as the shite?

What we should really be concerned about imo is why does the seller auctions go low but expiring auction sells so high?

yes but...all the good xyz sales come from 1 seller... I'm not counting some blue moon lotto winner exceptions.. well good question.. well parkio and sav etc all get way more exposure than auctioning our shite names. hence the bigger prices..either way paying 700 for winningxyz and other such things is for dreamers and wasted money. that's why I mention in posts xYz is already monopolized by one seller so people stop dreams and waste money. u need bare min 100s very good 1word only xYz names to make bigger sales... and 1000s If they are avg 1words.. unfortunately someone already had that idea. hence monopoly. monopoly is not bad thing but it's bad for all to not see it so they stop dreaming about big xyz sales
