I'm going to up this thread next year, it's going to give Boooooooooom! a new meaning once the drops start to happen. Maybe Drooooooooooooop!

it s still too early for any new extension to state if it will have any real value till it will pass the test of time and the progress of development on it

i advise anyone to not gamble their money at this moment with them unless you succeed to get a 1 highly popular/commercial word on it which relates in a proper way with the new extension.

for example sex.club has some value, hotels.berlin the same, if those are already taken by the registrar and sold at premium prices of $xx.xxx, don t even bother to take something, if the registrar didn t took it, you should do the same.

This is still tiny fraction of .com, .net, .org, .edu, etc....I can't believe people think these will work. The majority of the public still thinks the big five. Only a fraction of people understand these new tlds.

Normally I write long, technical posts. This one will be brief. The claim that .XYZ is the most active TLD is rubbish.

I'd say .xyz won't have a long shelf life, if any. The numbers seem overinflated. There are way too many new extensions, even .wtf. Someone must have had a lot of time on their hands...

A lot of hype! Without the interest of end-users, it's pretty much useless.

Next year the headline will be: xyz, the most dropped gTLD ever :-o

I`m sure they will have to if they will avoid the biggest drop ever ;)

Or like .tel, you get two for the price of one. They have lost more than 30% of their regs nonetheless.

Maybe next year .XYZ will offer a two for the price of none promotion....

Could very well be a puff piece. With hundreds of gTLDs, .xyz will get eaten alive.
