Gee, I wish a person could put a domain name on hold for a certain period (say, 1 week) before you decided to purchase it. Wouldn't that be great! I WANT IT...TELL ME IT'S POSSIBLE...PLEASE!!!

Was possible when netsol was the only registrar - you did not have to pay for up to 4 months. It was nice but oh so very abused.

Network Solutions used to send invoices in the mail, and the domain was "registered" and then you simply sent them a check (2 years registration/$70) if you still wanted it. Talk about "reservations". :o
1999 ... what a domain year!
