Would you post your dev. mini-site(s) please?

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Like many other Npers, I am looking towards developing some of my better domains, rather than leaving them in declining PPC. I would really appreciate seeing some examples of 3-5 page mini-sites with Adsense, Adbrite etc that Npers have developed for their domains.

I'm not asking for postings of Whypark, Imodo etc mini-sites, as these types of sites are covered elsewhere in other threads. I'm hoping to see some (inspirational..) examples of mini-sites developed from scratch or using available templates. If you'd like to showcase or share, I hope you post some links to your sites. Thanks in advance.

Mod Edit: No more than five live links per post.

300 uniques in 13 days
1177 pageviews

according to google analytics.

The site is to young. Most of the visits come from other websites like NamePros.

I will continue working to have more indexed pages... well optimized (SEO).

Yes... maybe most people go to apple/yahoo my friend.

But there's why i'm also trying to add new features like Wallpapers, Movie Posters... and others that i will work on very soon ;)

But see with me... just for the word Trailers google adwords says that last month almost 14,000,000 people searched for that term. I don't think that all people goes direct to apple/ yahoo.

That's why it's important to do a good job on SEO ;)

Only the future i'll tell... but i'm trying to do my best.

Now i'll build a Movie Forum inside the website. And other interesting seccions IMO ;)

Work, work, work... no pain no gain ;)

I'm about halfway done with http://vintagestemware.com. It's turning out to be a bit more than a mini-site!

Can anyone tell me how to center the Amazon widget on the first page. I'd relly like to have it centered.

Thanks,

Guys, I have no problem with content. I have no problem with templates either.

My problem is: Where do you guys get stunning pics and graphics for your website headers? Do you pay for them? Do you "occasionally" grab pics on the side then splice them together, since anyway they will just be used for "mini" sites? A lot of the free pics I've Googled, are kinda dull.

I was initially thinking of paying for pics/flash animation, then add those costs to the total value of the website for resale. However, using that model, I would be in trouble paying it off while "on display" with just Google Adsense or affiliates, since I saw a really cool website header pic going for $69 a pop. I was thinking, these stunning pics/flash may tend to attract more traffic coz they give more credibility to the site. People seem to be getting mini-site fatigue. You know, like you landed on a page and you have this feeling that it was just taken off Wikipedia or something.

istockphoto.com. You buy credits, and with those credits you can get photos, animations, banners, all kinds of stuff. For web purposes, you can usually get the smallest picture, so it ends up being a buck or two a pop.

I am using the same template for one of my sites, I like the news aggregator. Where can I find this function for my wordpress?

You can also try fotolia.com. I haven't tried istockphoto.com, but I have used fotolia a few times, so I can't really give a comparrison. Same basic principal though.

Anybody know a good site that discusses fonts in html? Is there a way of using a non-standard font without doing it as a graphic? :cy:

Not easily. More trouble than it's worth. Stick with the basics.

Arial
Verdana
Courier
Times New Roman
MS Comic Sans
Georgia

You can also use Tahoma and Trebuchet if you don't care if the Safari people see it as Arial.

I finally have the courage to post my first Css/html "site"
MakingOnlyMoney.com

(a) really confused about the
PHP:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
not sure if the correct DOCTYPE?

(b) And sure would appreciate..if anyone can tell me (if it is possible) how to use "fonts" as a header other than as a image.! Just so..If I cant find a great image to use as a header..I can use words!

(c) does that RSS have a SEO value!

Thanks for your time!
P.s some impressive mini-sites posted here!

Hope this makes sense. I often do exactly that instead of building a logo. IMHO SEO can't be hurt. Be careful of uncommon fonts as some browsers may not render properly. There can be some IE issues which require tweaking.
<div style="font-size: 24px; text-align: left; margin-left: 50px; font-weight: bold; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My Very Cool Site Name</div>
OR

<h1 style="font-size: 24px; text-align: left; margin-left: 50px; font-weight: bold; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My Very Cool Site Name</h1>

The styles could be in a css file like (much preferred method)

#site-header {
font-size: 24px;
text-align: left;
margin-left: 50px;
font-weight: bold;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
}

Then the html would look like
<div id="site-header">My Very Cool Site Name</div>
OR

<h1 id="site-header">My Very Cool Site Name</h1>

As far as DOCTYPE -- get a big cup of java and check out http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=DOCTYPE&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

BTW, I am in no way a CSS expert - just plug along with the help of Dreamweaver.
