I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

At least 1000 Civilians are taking refuge under the Mariupol steel planet where the last of the Ukrainian forces have been holding out.

Despite being bombarded the heavy built steel factory so far is acting like a fortress for those inside.

I don't believe that these people are having any effect on the overall Donbas operations.

This would be a good opportunity for Russia to repair its somewhat tarnished public relations with the rest of the World by showing some Compassion and not to destroy the steel plant and to have mercy on the people inside even if they are not surrendering.

I am quite disappointed with Germany. I thought they would be way more concerned and involved about what's happening in Ukraine right now. But no, they prefer to keep funding Putin's war machine at the expense of thousands of innocent people's lives in Ukraine.

If they would stop buying russian gas and oil, it would be a very hard hit to Putin's war machine. Germany would lose 2-3% of its GDP, not more that what they lost during Covid-19 pandemic, but they would save thousands of lives in Ukraine and could stop Putin's aggression there.

At this time, it's when countries show their true colors, and Germany right now doesn't seem to have too much empathy for other countries, neighbours, suffering atrocities and genocide.
They even don't want to give part of their tanks to Ukraine. Even if being part of the NATO grants them that nobody is going to touch them, even Putler. Germany right now is putting its business first before its humanity.
At this point I don’t believe any country is going to join Ukraine in their effort , I am disappointed with Germanys lack of , but then I understand why Germany is not doing at the same time.

Example of how Kremlin’s propaganda machine works in that a Russian mother won't listen her own soldier son's account of killing women and children, according to tape of the call intercepted by Ukraine's security service.

The conversation read: “Son, don't lose morale! If only you saw what they are doing there. You are doing an honourable thing! We will remember that!”

The son replied: “What are we doing? Killing civilians and children?!”

The mother responded: “No, you are not killing civilians and children!

“Believe me.

“You are killing fascists, dammit.”

Infrastructure Minister Oleksander Kubrakov said that Russia has so far managed to destroy up to 30 percent of Ukraine’s infrastructure. The wreckage is estimated to cost about $100billion (£77billion), according to the Minister, who said that reconstruction could occur in two years’ time, provided that frozen Russian assets would be used for it.

I know certain assets, relationships and ideologies have to come into alignment before 'people' can act. Enough time has passed...it is time for the world to put Putin, including any and all of his supporters, in their respective places. This planet is not large enough for the dirt bags to run amok.

Maybe mom thinks someone could be listening in, so just in case, to keep her and her boy safe....

If that's not the case in this instance, I'd place odds there's others saying over phones what Putin wants them to say, rather than what they might really be thinking.

Russia has set another deadline on Wednesday for the people in the Mariupol steel plant to lay down their arms.

It doesn't look like those people are going to surrender and this can easily turn into a catastrophe for the history books if all those people are eliminated by tomorrow as Russia has promised.

In a way this operation (War) for Russia is not as much about defeating the Ukrainian fighters as it is about eliminating them.

But Russia also has to realize that it's going to have to live on this Planet long after this War is over and it is in Russia's long term interest to find a logical and compassionate way to deal with this situation.

If those people are provided with food and water and allowed to just stay there for now they would be effectively out of the battle and same as if they were in confinement.

Regardless of who those people are they are still Human and their Human Rights should be put into consideration and respected.

A little less than 3 hours left before the deadline for people in the steel plant is reached.

Evacuation corridors are planned to be opened today in Mariupol for the women, children, and elderly to be moved out of the City, but the fate of those taking shelter in the steel factory is still unknown.

That is a fact.

Then who gave -5 points for saying:

Regardless of who those people are they are still Human and their Human Rights should be put into consideration and respected.

It appears that some people are putting their political agendas above their responsibility to try to save lives.

IMO

PS: Looks like someone else has given me +5 points which has now canceled the -5 points. I guess the admins know who these people are, but I wish the point system wasn't anonymous.
