I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

The truth of the matter is that there are many other Countries in the World right now that have the potential to be as bad or even worse than Russia if the need arises.

That’s why that even if Russia went out of existence right this minute the World is still not going to be at Peace until the big picture is addressed and fixed.

IMO

This is human nature. People have different beliefs, cultures, traditions, etc.

I am all for avoiding conflict if possible, but there has always been conflict. There will always be conflict. That is just the reality.

Hopefully people can live beside each other in peace, but it is not going to be a utopia full of unicorns and rainbows.

Sometimes there are positions where no middle ground is possible, for instance when a country like Russia thinks Ukraine should not exist and the people are less that humans. It is very similar to Hitler's views on Jews, gypsies, disabled people, etc.

This tweet seems a bit harsh, but it frankly describes what's the situation right now. Without the money Putler gets from oil and gas exports to Germany, Italy and France, this invasion would end right now because there would be no money for Putler's death machine.

That's a good point, perhaps we all can find some common grounds over what is totally unacceptable and is considered crossing the lines even at War.

We need to be concerned about torture, mass murder, and genocide of innocent civilians the same regardless of where in the World its happening and by whom (it's not always done by dictators alone).

There are already a multitude of international laws, agreements, and treaties that Russia is violating especially with the targeting of civilians.

What is the point of these agreements if when you violate them there is no accountability or punishment?

You might as well just print the agreement on toilet paper if that is the case, then at least it is valuable for something.

Zelensky about Russia's war crimes in Ukraine: "Concentrated evil has come to our land. Murderers, butchers, rapists, looters, who call themselves an army and who only deserve to die after what they have done," Zelensky said.

It seems there are a lot of brainwashed barbarians there. The evil they have as dictator has really made his job on making those immorals. But it seems that it's not just in Russia where are those immoral barbarians, a few of them are also living outside, like in Germany.

Yeah my views on ordinary Russians have changed a lot in the last couple of weeks, at start of the war i felt sorry for them with the sanctions, i felt a lot was against it, but it turns out i was wrong and a lot of Russians are 'for' this.

But as i said in an earlier post I made today about propaganda, it clearly has an effect, even the Russian church is pro-war:-

https://www.theguardian.com/comment...-orthodox-church-betrayed-by-putins-patriarch

Concerning in a way, because i thought the key to a peaceful Russia was removing Putin but i don't think it is, I think there's a deep lying problem imbedded into Russian society that affects world peace in the 21st century.

Germany had this problem 80 years ago, it took WW2 for that change, lets hope this doesn't take another conflict on that scale to resolve the Russian issue, what we have now is technology (something we didn't in the 1930's) and as much as Putin tries to censor it, you can't censor it all and i hope the internet is the biggest weapon we have to prevent another conflict like that again, the world is a smaller place now because of the net (we are all connected), i hope Russians see the true picture someday, even if that isn't right now.

As I already said we need to reform the United Nations,

We can start by ending the Veto power,

We then should revise all international laws and rules and the declaration of the Human Rights as to not leave the smallest room for abuse, torture, and genocide and we should require all Countries who want to be part of the community of Nations to officially become a signatory to all these rules and laws and the International Court system.

Any Country (without exception) that is not maintaining a good standing should be completely cut off from the community of Nations.

When the United Nations was created after WWII it was meant to create a venue and system for everyone to be able to settle their differences and grievances without resorting to violence and killings (War).

So perhaps the first step should be to reform the United Nations so that it can perform its original purpose and mission without interference from anyone.

The U.N. is a corrupt bureaucracy, imo. Gov Niki Haley was the U.N. Ambassador for the USA in the last 40 years. She protected our interest while refusing to play games with corrupt officials representing tyrannical governments like Iran and Russia.

A lot of things to hate about Donald Trump but his polices put America first and made the world safer at home and abroad.

Biden admin says they may lift sanctions on Russia if the peace talks are successful.

Hillary Clinton the women who laughed out loud, about killing Muammar Gaddafi ( we came, we saw, he died), had some thoughts..

Nuclear Weapons
Pandemics
Global Warming

If it weren't for these three factors any Country that could self sustain itself as far as food and energy could be able to thrive in isolation and say the heck with the rest of the World.

But we live in a World that what a few people decide to do halfway across the globe can have an existential effect on everyone else and so there is no escaping the rest of the World.

Everyone has to learn to work together if we were to save the Humanity and this Planet.

I mean you keep saying similar things, so let me ask you this...How?

Humans are flawed. There will always be conflicts based on many factors.

It is just not realistic to expect everything to be kumbaya.

Long term humanity is likely doomed anyway. When you have the technology to destroy everything, all it takes is a spark. It is amazing it has not happened yet honestly.

As technology advances more and more, the disaster scenario becomes even more likely.

All speculation.

No mention of specific sanctions. No mention of timeline.
There are many layers of sanctions and severity.

This is what was actually said by Tony Blinken -

"We'll be looking to see what Ukraine is doing and what it wants to do, and if it concludes that it can bring this war to an end, stop the death and destruction and continue to assert its independence and its sovereignty, and ultimately, that requires the — the lifting of sanctions, of course, we'll have that," he said.

Sooner or later some sanctions will have to be lifted if Russia is going to be part of the modern world. The actual sanctions and timeline would need to be discussed and would be highly contingent on their behavior.

I doubt anyone is going to be in a major rush to lift sanctions any time soon on war criminals.

I can't think of a single time where trying to remove or removing the leader of a country has worked out well, except for Germany in WWII. Even Japan was allowed to keep their civilian leadership.

Interfering in another country is dangerous. That doesn't mean I don't support Ukraine, it means I'm not in favor of overthrowing Putin.

Be careful what you wish for.
But for the record, it was just fine by you for US donors to throw millions toward a trucker protest that called for the removal of your next door neighbour's legitimately elected government.

A lot of things to hate about Donald Trump but his polices put America first and made the world safer at home and abroad.
I guess those comrades shared the same game plan. I've heard alot of the same jargon coming out of Russia. In fact, the right has been softened much by Putin IMO.

Sorry to hear that you feel this way about the World,

But we can't give up on Humanity yet because there are always two sides to the coin,

There is as much chance for the World to be saved as there is for it to be destroyed and a lot of that depends on what we do going forward from here.

There is nothing written in stone, we have as much chance to make a positive and peaceful future for ourselves as we have of destroying it all.

Well, you know because public health measures like facemasks = Nazis or something.

The war in Ukraine kind of put into perspective what actual suffering is...not fake culture war victimhood nonsense. It really took the wind out of the sails of the stupid movement. Their "trucker rally" in DC went over like a wet fart.

Well, a lot of fascists share the same game plan. They have absolutely no respect or need for democracy.
As long as their guy is in power, they are fine with authoritarianism.

Even if it means installing their losing candidate, via any means necessary...even if that means ending democracy that works.

The majority of people spreading Russia's disinformation are just anti-democracy in general.
