I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

Timber Sycamore U S involvement in the Syrian civil war

In my opinion, it's not that the world (the west) has failed to see it. What happened is that the west has closed its eyes for many years because most of them (mainly Germany, Italy, France, etc) have been doing business, buying russian gas and oil and feeding the russian dictator war machine for too long.

If not for the gas and oil exports, Putin wouldn't have a penny for anything, let alone for feeding his war machine for so long.
I agree with that somewhat, especially when Russia invaded Crimea, more should have been done then in terms of sanctions and countries (especially EU) moving away from Russian gas and oil, but how could the whole world know the ultimate aim was invading the whole of Ukraine and if that went to plan no doubt neighbouring countries?

We always knew Putin had soviet views of the world, but we all thought he was calculated and rational enough to never be a threat to the world.

6 weeks ago, when we watched him say the aim of the military operation "is to denazify Ukraine" the whole world literally looked at each other like 👀"say what now". He sounded like a mad man, he's never come out with anything like that. Only then, along with him threatening other neighbouring countries in the same speech, we knew this man was a threat to the world.

The only time he's gave an hint on his views of Ukraine was to George Bush 20 years ago saying "Ukraine wasn't a real country" and that (i believe) has only been made public recently.

Not sure what he publicly said or did not say, but i've been doing some reading & I think there's some truth to the claim that some Russians think of Ukraine as an extension to them, by land or by ethnicity not sure, it's complicated.

I do remember around 10-15 years when I mingled with both Russians & Ukrainians in college, they loved each other, & I remember instances where Ukrainian guys would feel responsible for Russian ladies like "we protect you".

Obviously a lot has changed since then.

On a related note to achieving World Peace:

The Warring parties in Yemen have agreed to a two month ceasefire which they are hopeful to result in ending the hostilities in that region.

The highest priority for everyone should now be to help the sick and starving children who have at no fault of their own become the biggest victims of the War Crimes that have taken place over there.

Some Russians can think whatever they want, but that's THEIR truth, not THE truth. The fact is that Ukraine is NOT an extension of Russia.
Ukraine is much older than Russia, not the other way.

Timber Sycamore U S involvement in the Syrian civil war

In Syria there were people fighting for freedom, to get democracy. But they had a dictator that was a complete mass murderer the same way as Putin is. The US was fighting for freedom there, helping the people that wanted democracy there, until Trump arrived, the guy that puts first money before freedom and democracy.

As all we know, Trump is a real puppet of Putin, so he just did what Putin told him to do, and that was to withdraw the US troops from Syria and let the two dictators, Assad and Putin, massacre innocent syrians.

Trump is an immoral, greedy and unscrupulous guy that only thinks in money for his business. So for him, freedom and democracy is the last thing to think about.

Good people worry that innocent civilians are being killed by dictators. The immoral, only mind their own business and feel nothing for the mass murder of civilians and genocide in this world.

You are ill informed and bigoted. The video I posted was an explanation of how the CIA and Obama conspired to overthrow President Assad.

America under Obama and encourage by neo-cons who think war is the solution to every diplomatic problem, ended up fighting Iran and Russia who joined forces with President Assad.

Then daesh, using Russian, Iranian and American weapons splintered from the Rebels and took over a large part of the Levant.

Obama, tried to pull out of the disaster he helped create but couldn't.

When Trump was elected, he gave the US military orders and finances to defeat ISIS. The USA supplied the Kurds and other ethnic groups with weapons and training.

American military wiped out thousands of Russian and Iranian mercenaries, 10 of thousands of Islamic extremist, ALL ON THE ORDER OF PRESIDENT TRUMP.

Then America turned our back on the Kurds. The Kurdish government was left to deal with Iraq and Turkey on their own.

If not for Donald Trump, ISIS would be ruling in the Levant right now, just like the Taliban are ruling in Afghanistan.

ISIS enslaved millions and murdered 10's of thousands. President Trump had the guts to do what needed to be done to end that tyranny.

Who do you think killed the President of Libya, plunging the country in to civil war and slavery? Hint: It wasn't Donald Trump.

Please tell me again to stop bringing up Trump.

I have said all what I had to say about Trump. I do not need to repeat myself.
Trump, the guy that called Putin "a genius" for invading Ukraine. Enough said.

That's a good point, perhaps we all can find some common grounds over what is totally unacceptable and is considered crossing the lines even at War.

We need to be concerned about torture, mass murder, and genocide of innocent civilians the same regardless of where in the World its happening and by whom (it's not always done by dictators alone).

And at some level we also need to be concerned about all the soldiers that get killed and perhaps have been forced to fight in these Wars against their own will and best judgment.

Regardless of whether it's civilians or the soldiers that are getting killed we need to put an end to all these Wars once and for all.

The first step is to find out who (or what) is creating all these Wars and why (and I am not just talking about the War in Ukraine here).

I can't think of a single time where trying to remove or removing the leader of a country has worked out well, except for Germany in WWII. Even Japan was allowed to keep their civilian leadership.

Interfering in another country is dangerous. That doesn't mean I don't support Ukraine, it means I'm not in favor of overthrowing Putin.

Be careful what you wish for.

When the United Nations was created after WWII it was meant to create a venue and system for everyone to be able to settle their differences and grievances without resorting to violence and killings (War).

So perhaps the first step should be to reform the United Nations so that it can perform its original purpose and mission without interference from anyone.

"i don't like you, but i don't know why"

Here's another video:-

More video of what average Russians think about Ukraine.

I was hopeful that the Russian people would stand up to what is happening... however, the more I look into it, the more I think that we'll have to force them to accept defeat in Ukraine.

It seems there are a lot of brainwashed barbarians there. The evil they have as dictator has really made his job on making those immorals. But it seems that it's not just in Russia where are those immoral barbarians, a few of them are also living outside, like in Germany.

Newspaper headlines: 'Horror in Bucha' and Russia 'worse than Isis'

https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-the-papers-60977312

Under the headline "Horror in Bucha", the Guardian reports mass graves have been found in the town north-west of the capital Kyiv, as well as evidence of the killing of civilians in the nearby towns of Irpin and Hostomel.

The attacks have led Ukraine's foreign minister to brand Russia being as being worse than infamous terrorist group Isis, the Metro reports. The paper says the atrocities were "evidenced in pictures too horrific to print", including the public execution of handcuffed people and civilians who had been driven over by tanks.

The Daily Mirror leads with President Volodymyr Zelensky's accusations that the deaths amount to genocide and that the Russian military was attempting an "elimination of the people" of Ukraine. The paper adds the executions apparently carried out by retreating troops led to 300 civilians being killed in Bucha alone.

The Times reports world leaders have demanded Russian President Vladimir Putin should face more stringent sanctions and be prosecuted for war crimes. The paper says its reporters visited the sites of two "execution-style" massacres in Bucha, where Russian troops were also accused of rape and of booby-trapping dead bodies with explosives.

The Daily Mail reports the "barbarity" of Russian soldiers has been compared to atrocities committed by the Nazis, describing the revelations as the "horrors of the Second World war returned to Europe". It says survivors of the Russian occupation described "terror not seen since Joseph Stalin's Soviet rule in the 1930s".
