Iโ€™m interested to know how this transaction took place. I wonโ€™t ask for specific details (names, correspondence, etc.) but I would like to know how this process ended in you turning over ownership of your domain(s) with the possibility of fraud looming.

Best wishes,
Kimmy

People should abide by the restrictions. If you aren't eligible to reg a particular extension, then don't!

well, i own lots and lots of the little beauties (.US domains) and, as far as im concerned, Im perfectly valid as a registree... Most of mine are at enom and i remember when i first tried to buy one, i filled in the form honestly, I marked it as a non-US citizen, for commercial gain and I got my domain..

So, before I get the "you are in violation blah blah blah" reply, I did everything honestly, with a US registrar and they let me buy...

But again, that said, because my registration is with a US registrar and I do a lot of lawful business with US companies and individuals, does that qualify me as having "Real and substantial lawful connections with, or lawful activities in, the United States of America" - In my mind "I do".....

May i now kiss my NeuStar bride...? :)

I don't own any .US's, but equally as Badger indicated, I wouldn't be discouraged by the limitations if I did actually want to buy one.

I personally think it's stupid that only people are allowed to register certain extensions. If anything, it's unfair business practice by registrars to discriminate customers.
