Hi Guy's,

I got this email and I wondered who has been trying to confirm ownership of my Domain?

I didnt request it so who did? Was someone trying to steal my domain?

Regards,

Robbie

1. see the full headers if it's coming from domaintools.
2. see if that is your email.

maybe someone is trying to pierce that whois privacy.

if you confirm, consider it "going public".

Definitely. Looks like someone wants to pierce the privacy veil.

I think it's best to contact domaintools themself.

I see no reason why domain tools would be contacting you, but it's good to check and if it is some kind of scam, they will know about it then.

domaintools does have a confirmation email if you are trying to sell your domains through any of their auctions, they verify you control the email listed for the domains to make sure you are the actual owner, If you have not submitted any of your domains for any of their auctions then I would delete that email or forward it to them and explain to them that you have not tried to list any domains or confirm any of your emails then maybe if a bad account on their end is attempting to confirm emails that don't belong to them it will be shut down.
