Hi,
I think this might just be an interesting thread for PREMIUM regges only. Could provide a snapshot of the past present and future of the premium .tv bandwagon.
Please list your premiums that you sold at a profit and those that you either sold at a loss or going to drop and how much that drop costed you, or will cost you if you do not get an offer by the time renewal comes around
I understand that many deals done were under DNA, I have a few myself. If you cannot divulge the amount, give your particular premium a rating of *, **, or *** rating, the more stars , the bigger the profits,
The same with your losses, if you do not wish to divulge how much you lost, if you can use the star rating system - one star is lost a little , two stars - last a fair amount, and three, you took a good old fashioned horse whipping.
I will start things off - in no particular order.
WINNERS
PI.TV - Cost me $500, held for one year and sold on Sedo for around $2500 mark of I remember rightly
DE.TV - Cost me and ATL.TV $6000 (two year reg upfront)- sold for $21k - split profits
THAILAND.TV - Cost me 2 x 1k - held for two years. Sold at a profit with a one star rating
SANJOSE - Cost me 2 x $500 - held for two years. at a profit with a one star rating
EDUCATION.TV Bought for $3000 - Sold at a profit with a three star rating
REPORT.TV - Bought for $500. Sold a week later for $750. (This name has interesting history . If I remember rightly this name was then flipped for $1500 +. However, just checked Ahead.Tv - this name is now available at $1500. So someone lost a small chunk of change on that one.
CAMBRIDGE.TV - $500 held for less than a year. Sold at a one star rating.
I am sure there were maybe a few more - cant really remember - so couldnt have been that great. - UPDATE - I just remembered to add Cambridge.Tv.
LOSERS
QUEENS .TV - $500 premium dropped after one year.
SOMERSET.TV - $500 premium dropped after one yer
SUSHI.TV - $500 premium dropped after one year (really wished i would have kept that one!!)
OMAN.TV - $1000 premium co-owned - sold at a loss of one star rating
WAIKIKI.TV - $1000 premium - dropped after one year
SAX.TV - $375 premium - held for two years and sold for around $120 dollars
GUNS.TV - $500 premium - held one year - sold at a very similar price to SAX.TV
MIC.TV - $375 premium - held for two years - sold for $25 (to a friend)
IPO.TV - joint partnership with ATL.TV $500 premium held for two years. Sold for around $800??
FIX.TV - joint partnership with ATL.TV. $1k premium x2 years. Name dropped
There may have been a couple more . Again, my memory is pretty poor.
STILL HOLDING
VID.TV - $375 premium x 3 years - and now renewal coming up in September time
TRADING.TV - $500 premium - holding for less than a year. Still undecided whether to renew.
CARE.TV $250 premium Paid times three years. (Will renew as this is a blog of mine)
DIY.TV - 1k premium joint partnership with Jimbo. My part ws $2500. We have it paid 4 until 2013
All of the ones that I have dropped have of course been raised to crazy prices now.
Overall, my profits from premiums was way more than my losses from pemiums.
