Matt, you are absolutely right to warn these guys to protect themselves. Personally, there isn't a chance that I would rip off a logo for $35 or any amount for that matter. My integrity can be vouched for here at namepros and at a number of other major webmaster forums.

Quick edit: so far johan design is closest to the mark, I just need more umph! (ie excitement)

OK, I'm back with a quick roundup.

fried-chicken: thanks for the entry. the whole globe thing is not what i'm looking for, the site won't be focused on movies from around the world, more like entering an exciting place that is full of movie stuff.

KoeziWeb: It's a bit too basic i'm afraid. the last one is best but i don't really get the smiley face thing.

johan design: as said, you're the closest so far but it needs a lot more, not sure what i'm afraid but probably incorporating colour aswell. ps like the first one best.

yule: again, not looking to bring a globe theme to the logo, don't like the blue or green either.

Romeo 20: see above. Also don't like such a mixture of fonts/capitalisation.

dzynd4u: appreciate the effort, don't really like the font or the image i'm afraid.

umxca: second in line at the moment, a reel could possibly work in the logo. don't want flags in the picture (see above) but i'm sure the logo needs colour.

jorge05: I kinda like what you've done with this one. I have to admit that I like stylised text. not sure about the colours though

johan design: the changes haven't really done anything for me, i actually prefer the initial ones. I think that I would like to see stylising of text with this one.

Take a look at the other video sites in my signature to give some ideas, not that I want replicas.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, I've been in bed all day with the flu. Feel terrible.

Quick feedback:
Koeziweb: 2nd - dont like the font or the incorporation of the globe. 3rd - this is quite similar to my other logos but I'm not liking it i'm afraid, doesn't do it for me on this one.

umxca: I quite like the 'movies' font but not the 'world of' font. not sure I like that reel image.

cesarian: your's seems to have vanished pal.

justin 1: not along the right lines I'm afraid.

johan design: dont really want incorporation of a globe.

Lots of good work here, but not there just yet. Perhaps some examples of neon lettering could be shown to emphasise the text. (just a thought)
