I was wondering if anybody in this site has a reselling account at wild west domain. For those of you having a domain reseller account I would appreciate if you could answer the following:
  1. Is it worth it?
  2. Does it take a long time to cover your costs?
  3. Do you recommend WWD or some other reseller program, if so which one?
  4. What is the best strategy to get people to use "your site" over others?

1. Maybe.
2. Read number 1.
3. Depends on your needs, your circumstances, your purpose, and your budget. For me, I prefer WWD.
4. Who knows?

Search this board for targetdomains or just search for wwd (And read the reviews, for that matter) and you'll read the volumes that have been written on this subject before ;)

i have a WWD reseller also,

1.Depends on how much your work is worth. many ventures make money if you put enough time/money in it.
3. i like WWD, they let you sell other stuff not just domains, they do all the support also.

if you have a lot of domains yourself, you could just cut a deal with me or another reseller and get a good price. PM me :)

also if you do sign up use someones referal link, no point in letting that referal money go to waste.
also use a coupon.

I personally used WWD but later swiched to enom and resellerzoom for domain and hosting resell.
It depends on what you need and how you want to manage your site.

Thx Allan for the promotion, also it`s "targetdomain" ;)

To reply the questions:

1. Is it worth it?
YES, but you need customers, which is not that easy nowadays in the high competitive market (promo, promo, promo,....)

2. Does it take a long time to cover your costs?
At lowest sales rates in average I count you need arround 60 customers for the basic reseller plan, and 100 for pro reseller plan.

3. Do you recommend WWD or some other reseller program, if so which one?
Thats is the basic question. Let me respond like this;
If you want to resell to wide public WWD is your solution, due to Storefront, PayPal & CC, many products, no upfront deposits.
If you want it to trade domains Enom might be better.

4. What is the best strategy to get people to use "your site" over others?
IMO only way to get customers is the promotion outside the "domainers world", and there price and features rule ;)

PS:
I can offer to any NPer "sponsord" reseller accounts for the first year if they are purchased through Reseller.TargetDomain.com
Means, I will refund you 40$ for a basic and 70$ for a Pro reseller account for the first year.

If you are looking for a WWD account only to gain access the wholsale buyer rates, this thread maybe your solution:
