Just like forum domains, wiki domains are ones I don't recommend to register unless you know you can find a buyer. Wikis are anyway mainly a part of a larger site or something which doesn't need a brandable and good domain, rather it tends to be that it's okay as long as they're somewhere. Now there's some larger wiki projects like Wikipedia (somewhere on the MediaWiki or Meta-Wiki websites there's a link to a good source for wikis), but other than that, I think it's abit risky to venture out on wiki domains, as long as they're mainly not something you expect to make money with (ie. the likely hood of someone actually buying your wiki domain is small) and the approach to gather and distribute information is of a very pro bono nature.

I'd day it's a good idea if you really intend to dedicate yourself to run a wiki project (which most domainers won't), but as a domain cyberproperty investment it's poor.

Westblock,

Trying hooking up Google Analytics on it. See what the referals are, unless they're all typeins, which I can't honestly believe, because that would be helluva lot of them for a word that's not a usual word. Unless some people remember Wikipedia as Wikitopia. :D

It's parked with DomainHop, so I don't think I can track where the hits come from.

I think alot of people that are not familiar with Wikipedia do call it Wikitopia :hehe:

I would tend to think that the people are curious to find if there is a Wiki Utopia. :D

Wiki is a big organization and they have that prefix on alot of things. If you can find one on a good ending then you might be in luck...
