    Why is .net increasing its price year by year?

    This is sample quote from one registrar "Prices for .net creations, transfers, and renewals increase by $0.50 each on January 31".

    .net price is going higher... and it's not better than a normal .com

    Because they can. The are walking a fine line though between raising renewal fees and losing registrations.
