Very simple :

Godaddy is complicated
Godaddy is confusing

Uniregistry is simple and good and i get topcoins
Uniregistry has the best dashboard in the field

i guess Godaddy is just habit
there is really no reason for me to remain at Godaddy

"you dont discover new worlds,
if you do not have the courage, to leave the coastal"

the time will show it :

there is no alternate to Uniregistry

even to search for new domains is fun and makes sense

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
LOL
I didn't knew that the TLD .lol is from UNIREGISTRY but a few months ago I registered the most 'lol' and the longest 'lol' in a .lol domain.

lollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollollol.lol
PREMIUM 63.DOMAIN
21 times 'lol' / TLD
.lol
100 % the highest possible amount of 'lol' in a .lol domain

loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.lol

PREMIUM 63.DOMAIN
1 'l', 61 'o's', 1 'l' / TLD
.lol
100 % the longest possible 'lol' in a .lol domain

It's great to know that .lol is from UNIREGISTRY because I think I will transfer all my domains to them some sunny day - than my .lol domains will be there also.
LOL

Best of luck transferring your .lol domain names at $33 a pop.

See some people crying out the TS is paid, so I'll fill in with my version.

I too am currently moving my .com's and new gTLD:s to Uniregistry. Easy choice, they are in constant development not like Godaddy who don't give a shit about bugs that's been there for years. And don't get me started on productivity-killers as Namecheap. Only let down is the lack of ccTLD support and the pricing on the few they have.

I'm grateful I came across this thread..
Just yesterday 4/13/2016 a single English dictionary word Domain was removed from my GD account. They claim the auto renew wasn't on but I'm 100% Positive it was.
Considering the purchase price and several offers received I estimate I lost 10K+
I spoke with live chat and Joe which suggested I contact the new owner and try to buy MY OWN domain back.

I will be looking into Uni to transfer out.

if you need help add Sevan @ skype ( domainsevan )

But it looks like those precious Topcoins can only be used for registering ultra-crappy ngtld's..

.tattoo, .sexy, .link, .gift, .guitars, .pics, .photo, .christmas, .blackfriday, .audio, .hiphop, .juegos, .hosting, .country, .property, .click, .diet, .help

Who decide what is crappy ?
if someone bite me, i should not bite ?

;)

I meant about promoting a registrar via comparing others "aggressively", not your conversation with other members.

Looking at your reasoning for the your post title, "Why I transferred all my domains from Godaddy to Uniregistry?", you either seem like a salesman from Uniregistry or a really gullible person.

Topcoins? Seriously? That's a huge pyramid scheme. Call it reward points or something. It's not really a cryptocurrency, if it is I'd like to exchange them for bitcoins.

I own domains at every friggin registrar there is and most domainers while bidding don't really care where the domain is registered. An End user does. You won't believe how many deals have been cancelled because the domain wasn't registered at Godaddy. Even when I was not into domaining, I trusted only Godaddy. An End user is where the big bucks come from not Domainers.

I have tried Uniregistry market and it is complicated. Godaddy Tdnam is simple.

One of the domains I bought on Uniregistry was cancelled and the money was reversed into my account after 21 days. With Godaddy the money is reversed within 2-3 days because it is a registered company in India, also I don't have to pay international transaction fee. Godaddy has a live support line that is local. I can call from my country and not be charged zillions in calling fee. I have saved so much time, also received discounts on calls.

The only reason I tried Uniregistry was because of Frank Schilling. The same guy who owns multiple gtlds, one of them being .lol.

Their renewal and transfer price for .lol is double than competing registrars and they friggin own the tld.

LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL.LOL

I know that Frank Schilling has partnered with Daniel Negari on many new ventures and must have learned from him that only way to be successful is being loud. So I'm guessing you were paid to write this thread.

This is one of those cases where it would be really awesome to shoot the messenger.

no i am not paid , i am absolutely convinced

Your claiming I didn't have auto renew on yet I'm positive I did.
The customer rep couldn't even see that I owned it.

Actual chat log which I saved for legal review...
Randy -
it will be just a moment while I bring up your account, is that a domain that you need to keep?
you -
Yes, I had Auto Renew on it as well.
Randy -
I am researching it, wow you have some really good names on your account :)
you -
Thank you
Randy -
do you have another account? I don't see that domain was on this one
you -
I only have one account, this one.
Randy -
ok, I'm still working on it :)

Commenting on names while in another person's account, I find that incredibly unprofessional given the situation.

Do you have emails from farther back that'd provide evidence auto-renewal was on, because you should? I'm going to assume here the name had some value. While things happen, there are few who'd risk losing a more premium name to missing a renewal. Have you had the name for awhile now, and it's just been sitting in your account? I'd argue it's relatively easy to turn off auto renewal on a name by mistake if your constantly screwing around in your account, but if your generally more hands off, there's far less of a reason why anything should have changed.

I'd post any emails you have that'd provide evidence to it if willing. The more anecdotal evidence a person gives, the less anyone is likely to believe em'. I'd say 99 out of 100 people in situations like this are crying wolf to a mistake that was entirely their own fault. You get so much crap email from registrars that when it comes to the important things, they're far too easy to overlook.

you can ask UNI directly @ skype ( domainsevan )

That is the point - you have to ask them, the price is private, and there is no guarantee it will continue.

No Thanks Uniregistry.

They may also have to start charging VAT to EU residents, as internet.bs did, putting prices up by as much as 20%.

Every registrar that states renewal prices publicly on their site. How many do NOT do that?

I'm new to the group so please forgive this but where is this survey of best domain registrars?

Can I get a recommendation please? Thanks!!

https://www.namepros.com/threads/favorite-domain-registrar-poll.933122/

If you set your domains to autorenew at Namesilo, they will all renew on the first day of the month in which they expire.

If you should think of opening an account at Dynadot, first carefully read and understand the warnings about getting locked out of your account there. https://www.namepros.com/threads/dynadot-refusing-to-unlock-account-what-are-my-options.824770/

I like unregistery very much

In terms of pricing, I already joined godaddy discount club, however, price still much higher than uniregistry, namecheap, etc

I received everyday promotional email from godaddy telling me by using the coupon I can save, say, 35%, however, the code never valid. So I called godaddy, they even argue with me telling me that's my lack of knowledge. They already gave me the best price. The point is: what is the point to send me everyday promotional message? Letting me know those garbage promotional things

I feel like their customer service is shit. I ll transfer 200+ of my domains to u I register for sure

I registered .link domain at Uniregistry and user interface is very smooth.

when I called Godaddy customer services, and waited for 15-20 min, and inquired their invalid coupon code just sent to my email, their staffs just explain that my price already the best price they can give, b/c I am with discount club. But in that case, what is the point to send me tons of promotional emails?

Did you fail math? $8.29 is less than $9. And go ahead and get a list of renewal prices and post them. And yes, it is cheaper. Feel free to look - https://www.godaddy.com/domains/discount-domains.aspx
Your clearly one of the many on here who prefers to argue, and ask questions before thoroughly looking themselves. These questions have been asked a million times over on here, and everywhere else. These types of things are constantly asked of godaddy and similar, so expect there to be a help guide.

You are one of a few on here like to judge people. My point is my point.

I am just telling my true experience. never lie.

I have 500+ domain names under my name registerred with godaddy, now I have been slowly transferring them to Uniregistry, namecheap, and even dynadot.

My conclusion is: Godaddy is not competitive in pricing.

Godaddy:
abnsnn.click C$8.99 = US $6.94

Uniregistry:
abnsnn.click US $1.99

Which one is cheaper

what I can say is:

if you transfer more domains to Uniregistry, they will automatically offer you long term cheaper price.
maybe this is the reason.

I dislike the arrogant attitude of Godaddy.

years ago, I remember godaddy still little bit competitive in pricing. Now things getting changed.

I cannot say 3 years later, Uniregistry still comeptitive in price. But one thing is sure now, Godaddy is expensive

all the data is there, but you still dont want to agree

How much are you paying for .com at Uni?

I pay $8.67 USD @ Uniregistry, renew fee is $8.67 USD

I pay $8.96 USD @GoDaddy, renew fee maybe very expensive, if my discount club membership expired

One thing that Godaddy is disgusting is that:

Godaddy thinks they are the NO.1, all the time. Arrogrant. Poor service, poor interface, poor price, poor arrogant attitude.

I hate this. Godaddy will fail in this business in a decade or so, if they dont change something.

Doubt any registrar guarantee you any prices other within a limited period of time. Besides Uni do state a general price plan just like any other registrar.

1
•••
Yes, we know that. Other registrars also have public bulk pricing or if it's a club, prices clearly laid out. If different people pay for the club, their .com prices are the same. We have people paying different prices for a .com at Uni. I was using general price plans and omelet was using some prices that nobody can see publicly. I can link to GD discount club and you can see exactly what you would be paying (transparency) and also other registrar's pricing, you can't link to the prices omelet was using. So it just works a little differently.

Why are you so afraid to ask them for a personalized price plan? This is how most industries work other than those in communist/socialistic countries.
