Very simple :

Godaddy is complicated
Godaddy is confusing

Uniregistry is simple and good and i get topcoins
Uniregistry has the best dashboard in the field

i guess Godaddy is just habit
there is really no reason for me to remain at Godaddy

"you dont discover new worlds,
if you do not have the courage, to leave the coastal"

the time will show it :

there is no alternate to Uniregistry

even to search for new domains is fun and makes sense

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I wish GD would update the interface and make the auctions more manageable. It can be difficult to navigate.

you can ask UNI directly @ skype ( domainsevan )

That is the point - you have to ask them, the price is private, and there is no guarantee it will continue.

No Thanks Uniregistry.

They may also have to start charging VAT to EU residents, as internet.bs did, putting prices up by as much as 20%.

Every registrar that states renewal prices publicly on their site. How many do NOT do that?

Because you haven't met with NameSilo yet : )

1) I have %99 of my domains with NameSilo. The best and fastest support response.

2) When it comes to premium domains, NameSilo is the ONLY one. If a premium domain renewal cost at GoDaddy is $500, it is ONLY $422 at NameSilo. The same thing applies to UniRegistry and other registrars. they CAN NOT compete with NameSilo prices. just take a look at how much .com costs at NameSilo: Registration/Renewal 8.89 and Transfer in $8.39 !!!!!!!!!!

3) NameSilo is simply the cheapest and the simplest ever. and yes it is cheaper than UniRegistry and ALL. i have made

4) NameSilo gives a lifetime FREE privacy. you can activate and deactivate it at any time.

5) If you have Adsense account, you park your domains with them and get %100 parking revenue !!, customize your landing page and receive buyers inquiries.

6) You can sell your domains at NameSilo marketplace for %7.5 commission and get paid in different payout options.

7) You can instantly transfer your domains away with a simple outbound transfer approval from within your NameSilo account. (That is something my Chinese buyers admire and they are like WOW)

8) If you make changes to your domains like name serves / forward a domain or whatever kind of changes, those changes take place in minutes !! they have very reliable and fast servers.

9) Recently they introduced DOMAIN LINK MANAGER where you can link your domains from other registrars to your NameSilo account to view them and get alerts of their expiry etc.

10 ) I LOVE NAMESILO.COM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm new to the group so please forgive this but where is this survey of best domain registrars? I've searched this site. I like the Uniregistry recommendation (site looks nice) but I wonder if it's outdated. Now that Google is registering domains, that seems convenient for business activity that lets us attach new Gmail accounts easily.

Can someone recommend a solid partner to move a smallish portfolio of domains from Bulkregister (eNom)? Their name was so promising but then it has issues... Slow, can't enter but a few header records, and they bill us multiple times a month as domains hit annual anniversaries. Drives my bookkeeper batty. We are not into premium/reselling so the marketplace that Godaddy has is not important to us. Can I get a recommendation please? Thanks!!

If you set your domains to autorenew at Namesilo, they will all renew on the first day of the month in which they expire.

If you should think of opening an account at Dynadot, first carefully read and understand the warnings about getting locked out of your account there. https://www.namepros.com/threads/dynadot-refusing-to-unlock-account-what-are-my-options.824770/

Sounds really good! I will definitely check out the recommendations in this thread. Does anyone have experience with Google's domain registration platform? Or with the quality of the email features at these popular registrars?

I like unregistery very much

In terms of pricing, I already joined godaddy discount club, however, price still much higher than uniregistry, namecheap, etc

I received everyday promotional email from godaddy telling me by using the coupon I can save, say, 35%, however, the code never valid. So I called godaddy, they even argue with me telling me that's my lack of knowledge. They already gave me the best price. The point is: what is the point to send me everyday promotional message? Letting me know those garbage promotional things

I feel like their customer service is shit. I ll transfer 200+ of my domains to u I register for sure

Does anyone have experience with Google's domain

I used google domains when it was 1st opened up in beta way back when and haven't checked on it until just now. It's still in beta, and has an overall interface that needs a huge overall. From the looks of it, nothing has been changed, improved, etc. Google should stop focusing on buying new tlds, and put some more work into the design of it. Their prices are generally more expensive as well. It's partnered w/ wix.com and ~similar, as a means to get new comers ~everything they'll need in one package. Unfortunately, they've sacrificed a lot.

As far as the "best" registrar. The truth of the matter is, godaddy is the largest and the majority have always played catch up to make themselves standout from that competition. But none are of course 100% perfect. Some prefer keep all their roof under one roof, but I'd always recommend you try em' ~all out, excluding network solutions. Uniregistry, mostly because of domainnamesales.com is a good one to try out. Their expanding like no others.

I'd really have to doubt that. Neither namecheap or uniregistry provide much in the way of promos for legacy extensions that would drive the price down to the gd discount club.Unless your referring to a .whatever that's at a promotional price, etc.

Coupons are for the most part valid for "new" purchases. Not transfers, renewals, and possibly limited to some extensions. They can be used for the discount club membership, hosting, etc.. They don't give out the $1, $2, etc., reg promos like they once did. They were heavily "abused". A coupon codes terms are always provided w/ the email. I'm not standing up for them. If they were rude, than that sucks. I'd do the same as you.

.com godaddy price: C$11.49*
.com uniregistry price: US$ 8.67 = C$11.11

.net godaddy price: $13.99
.net Uniregistry price: $8.77 = C$ 11.24

@ godaddy: I m with discount club & nothing of their promo code is valid. Just shit.
@ Uniregistry: this is the price I can get, at least their price is reasonable and making sense

Uniregistry not too much promote themselves competitive in pricing, however, Godaddy always does so

Godaddy pricing strategy is like:

regular price is much higher than many of other competitors, then they provide customer "discount club" or "coupon code". So after paying discount club fee or coupon code, the price finally goes down to equal to Uniregistry, or other competitor price.

JOKE

These are the registration, renewal, etc., prices if your signed up for it.

List price for 1 year of service = ~$119

However a coupon can be used, and should be.

Using a 30% off would bring it down to $83.92. If you have a 35% off, better yet.

.Com (registration/renewal) List price = $14.99 v $8.29 discount club

Whenever you register, renew, etc., a domain, the discount is automatically applied if valid. You can't add coupons on top. Even if you had a ~20 name portfolio, you'd be overpaying overall per renewals, registrations, etc., with the cost of signing up accounted for.

when I called Godaddy customer services, and waited for 15-20 min, and inquired their invalid coupon code just sent to my email, their staffs just explain that my price already the best price they can give, b/c I am with discount club. But in that case, what is the point to send me tons of promotional emails?

You're actually lying. The prices using DDC are cheaper. And it doesn't take much to make up for the club fee.

Somebody posted they were paying a little over $9 for a .com with their special, email me, not in public pricing. $8.29 is less than that last time I looked. Also, why don't you go thru some of the renewal pricing and post that. Use Uni own extensions and compare it, guess which is cheaper.

what is the point of lying, this is what I experienced.

with discount club, price cheaper than uniregistry? Are you serious?? you are a JOKE.

I'm not tied to any registrar, honestly I feel like I'm always sticking up for godaddy. But, just a short time ago, and for years, they provided an incredible amount of registration promo codes that would bring names down to $1, $2, etc. Their prices have always been the lowest.

If I was a CS, and I was speaking to someone who was complaining that a coupon code wasn't working, I'd be a bit put off myself. To be honest, and you could argue that it's their job, but there's questions that shouldn't have to be answered by other people, especially a CS rep who's on call all day long.

I'd argue that someone who requires a coupon code, for something so nonessential, probably doesn't have any business buying it.

Your clearly one of the many on here who prefers to argue, and ask questions before thoroughly looking themselves. These questions have been asked a million times over on here, and everywhere else. These types of things are constantly asked of godaddy and similar, so expect there to be a help guide.

Did you fail math? $8.29 is less than $9. And go ahead and get a list of renewal prices and post them. And yes, it is cheaper. Feel free to look - https://www.godaddy.com/domains/discount-domains.aspx

You are one of a few on here like to judge people. My point is my point.

I am just telling my true experience. never lie.

I have 500+ domain names under my name registerred with godaddy, now I have been slowly transferring them to Uniregistry, namecheap, and even dynadot.

My conclusion is: Godaddy is not competitive in pricing.

It's lying. You never post any numbers. You have conclusions based on nothing real. Let's try. How much are you paying for a .com? I'm betting you will duck this very simple question.
