WhoisPet.com

I own this domain WhoisPet.com and I want to develop it for people who lost their pets and want to post their stories online; kind of lost and found website. Do you guys think that the name "whoisPet" is great for this project? I am afraid that the word "whois" is not common among people. Also, I don't have any programming or web designing experience.

I think you hit the head right on the nail. Whois - is not a common term for non-domainers / webmasters. Most people dont know it. Additionally - WhoisPet doesnt quite do it for me. I think the idea is sound, and there is always need for PetsLost website... but I would try to go with a more generic name.

Yeah, sorry but I must also agree that it doesn't quite sound right. whoispet.com sounds more like you are asking who is a pet rather than who owns this pet.
