Whois question

Does anyone know if there is a way to determine who the current administrative contact is of a domain name if the domain name is in redemption period and the whois does not reflect this information. The best method I have found is alexa, but I am uncertain of how current the contact info is there. Any suggestions besides contacting the registrar?
