In the case that a domain with proxy whois is allowed to expire, won't the privacy be immediately removed (assume same expire date)and one's contact info be in public view for 60 or so day redemption Period.

Can one surrender their redemption Period rights, return the domain to the pool and get whois wiped immediately?

Thanks

When domains expire, the registrar generally will put there own information in the fields with the registry. This is to prevent people from seeing 10 year old domains with inactive Hotmail.com (or other) accounts on them, then recreating the email address and then redeeming highly valuable domains.

When a domain hits it's registry redemption period it's put on by the registry, not the registrar. I think it's covered in all Terms of Services during the registration, so you already agreed to having it on there. The registrar will likely not have control of waiving the right.

Domain will not become public for typically another 60 days after it ends redemption.
