Who would you trust with the registration?

In an impossible hypothetical world, if by some miracle against all odds you happen to stumble upon a gem that somehow the entire domain name community missed. For example, lets say you found life.com available, who would you trust with the registration?

not interested in obvious loopholes in the hypothetical.

I agree with Dave, Moniker is excellent with security. If we are talking about .com, then Fabulous.com is also excellent. Somewhere towards the bottom of the list of well known registrars would be godaddy. There are many others that are even worse, but we are looking for good ones.

Fabulous only deals with com/net/org/info.

Dynadot for me, the customer service is very good. Their turn around time also is faster than Moniker.

I think I would go with Dynadot for such name. However, I normally register my domains with GoDaddy.

Same place as most of my current domains as if I didn't feel safe there now then I would not have any there even if they are worth much less than a one word popular generic dot com.

I use OpenSRS (Tucows), and I like it. Is it safe? Well, Microsoft and Citibank use it, so I am hopeful. :D

GoDaddy has worked fine for me, but I just get sick of seeing pimp daddy's pictures all over the place. Dynadot is one registrar I love, and I haven't had any problems with them.
But I haven't hand regged any name in the past two months, so I don't really choose registrars anymore. My names are all over the place since they're bought from different sellers/auctions. I will be consolidating them when renewal comes up, and at that time, I'll be hard pressed to choose between Moniker and Fabulous.

Support is very important to me, which breaks any ties. Fabulous is absolutely fabulous with support. I have the vast majority of domains with fab. OTOH, I am also forced to use other registrars since fab only deals with com/net/org/info. Not a big deal, since I do not do a lot of fishing outside the com/net/org/info waters. Moniker and Fabulous both get top ratings on security, and Moniker sells almost all tld's. I would say consolidate with Fabulous and put the rest with Moniker. There may be other issues in the decision, e.g., Moniker is a US company and I am a US citizen, simplifying litigation. Also, Fabulous is one of the best, if not the best overall monetizer in the business. No I am not a Fabulous pimp making money off of recommendations.

I get the good-guy rates, so I don't know about other rates. Check it out at Fabulous.com. I believe they have the best support in the business. I do know that they are very picky about their premium monetization service. If you have a high quality portfolio and not earning good ppc then you are in the wrong place.

Google does discriminate between ppc monetizers. Fab has an excellent track record so google gives good placement. When you go to a fab page like ExampleDogSite.com you get ads for "example dog sites", with perhaps a few exceptions. When you go to a lot of the other lower quality monetization pages, you get ads for everything under the sun. Google wants relevant pages returned for its searches, which explains why Fabulous gets preferred placement over some of the other services.

Fabulous is great, quick email responses, friendly staff, on the security side they just added a new feature which enables you to set 5 security questions on your account for pushes, nameserver changes or transfers, someone would have to answer 1-5 questions correctly based on your settings to transfer out one of your domains, get a question wrong and the account will lock itself, my favorite registrars currently would be godaddy, fabulous, enom, moniker, best on quick support would be fabulous & godaddy, best on security would be fabulous & moniker, my opinion of course.

the trust issue for me is not the issue but the price, i can however register it here on namepros, gd, idotz, dynadot, namecheap or moniker no problem
