Which script do you use for your .TV's guys?
I guess there should be something interacting with youtube's API to get videos, filter them somehow, has nice themes?

I'd go for Wordpress, but that's cos I'm familiar with it and use it for other projects. If you check back a bit on this forum, I started a thread asking for suggestions for wordpress themes and plugins for TV development. There were some very useful replies

To get you started, you could try WhyPark. You'll have to copy and paste the embed codes in manually from Youtube, but you get a lot of free content to get the ball rolling. Then if the stats look good you could spend the time to build a "proper" site.

I'm trying that approach on my Refurbished laptops site. Only one vid on the homepage so far, but I'm working on adding more

I experimented with the magnify.net platform on a couple of video sites.
It has some cool tools such as auto-updating content, community features, rss...but it just hasn't been monetizing for me.

Yes, but you have to mingle with the youtube api.

Im not sure what the problem is, maybe the ad placement but I think video is generally harder to monetize then other types of content.

I like the idea of using WordPress, along with Autoblogged, to aggregate and mashup Youtube (and other) content... we've done this on a few sites, and apart from a minor embedded video bug in WordPress 2.7 (that was resolved) it works quite nicely.

Joomla is a nice alternative, although in my experience it's a bit more resource intensive - perhaps a bit too much overkill for simply embedding and posting videos.

Use WordPress and add on services such as PostRank and, if you're into the Twitter hype, TweetMeme.

Dub Yard looks great. I've used the ning platform but never managed to get my sites to look as nice as Dub Yard does.
