.tv .tv only for entertainment?

Do you think .tv's should only be used for entertainment only?
I'm thinking of buying one but I'm not so sure about adding the whole video thing immediately. Should I buy a .tv if I don't intend to use it as a channel?

Yes, you should. They don't have to be just for entertainment.

.tv definetley does not only need to be used for Entertainment.

Have a look at some of the developed .tv's that arent full of video or for the entertainment industry, here is a few:

ShinShiny.tv - Gadget guide site
Prague.tv - Nice, City Guide

I could list loads of .tv's that have already been developed by individuals and large companies who obviously dont see .tv as only for TV, Video, Media...etc

In my view .tv can be used for absolutely anything but it does naturally work with Video, Media or alternative, unique sites.

.TV need not necessarily be for entertainment but imho the site must be somehow related to videos as one glance at any .tv site and the first thing I'll expect is video content. Or is it just me alone?

Wow.. never knew they were that old.. why are they so popular all of a sudden?

I was afraid of the whole video content thing because that's what people expect.
So would a domain like chatservice.tv (just an example) lose its worth because the idea has nothing to do with videos?

For me .tv is appropriate with entertainment but the radio also is source of entertainment....
Its all ok its sounds very cool
