Which is more profitable???

Newbie question:I have a website, auto related, that gets good traffic and clicks but revenue click is low, .12 to .15 cents per click.
Now the question: Is it more profitable to create your own website and populate it with Google AdSense ads or just park your domains with parking companies? I tried different parking companies, got the same low RPC.

Developing almost always makes more money in the long run, but requires more work.

Yep. Development is usually better and will get you indexed in the search engines. Personally, I think you need to be skilful with your adsense ads in order to make more money than parking. You should also try other parking companies.

Thanks for the replies, I think I might try developing the site and see what happens....

One more question, does anyone have an idea, or guestimate, on the % cut between Adsense and the domain holder? Say in the following example, "car insurance quotes" CPC $39.74, or any keyword?

It entirely depends on the name you have, some names are supposed to be developed while some names are not, and hence should be parked or used to drive traffic to your other sites.

I would split test your name, run it a few months with a website and another few months in parking.
Evaluate which method brings you more revenue and stick to that method.
