If you're just starting out take a lot of your time to read, read, read. There's plenty of resources here, Domain Sherpa and more to help you.

Also I've heard plenty of good things about DN Academy, after you're done reading and you decide you want to take the plunge into domaining then check out https://DNAcademy/
Ok sir thank you

Many start with brandables as the entry cost is more affordable. If you go that route you can obtain names allready on platforms from other sellers. However you need to know what is a good name and why before diving in.

The issues with your questions is no can give you knowledge that experience, studying, time, good choices can give you. It takes years and cannot be imparted on you in a day or a single thread. Patience is very necessary in this business.

Study the forum, names that sell, domaining.com, DomainSherpa website, DNAcademy, follow prominent domainers on Twitter and LinkedIn as some congregate more there than here. Know and watch trends present and future.

When you feel you have a grasp of what is worth having and why then begin to buy with a specific budget. Stick to it. Donโ€™t overspend.Try to sell those names. Do not register anything under the sun. Be picky. Having a decent grasp on English language is essential in knowing a good name from a bad name.

Donโ€™t be in a huge hurry to buy as you will waste money with no knowledge. Know you will make mistakes and you will have to learn from those but if you proceed carefully you will make less mistakes.
Sure sir thank you

Principle 1, try to purchase domain name and register domain name manually at the same time, the quantity should be as small as possible.Focus as much as possible on trends and hot news, or industries you're familiar with.

Principle 2: keep the domain name as short as possible, don't create your own words.

Principle 3, in namebio, DNJ, namepros, look at recent articles and domain name transaction data, and find the rules.Find high frequency words and high price words.

Principle 4, invest only in.com as possible.

Hi @Zala pratipalsinh and welcome to Namepros.

All of the above advice is excellent, plus for a real insight into what it is like to be full time domainer check out this video series from Domain Academy. (Part 1 here -
).

Give each episode time to warm up, they all take you inside the mind of a successful domainer. Pure Gold! And thanks to Michael Cyger for hosting it.

I would suggest not to buy domain name straight away, go on to different platforms like dropcatch, namejet, godaddy auctions, epik, park.io and read some of the blogs like namebio, domaingang, dsad, tldinvestors, here on np read about the previous sales, get an understanding how all these platform work. Once you get a grip of the market trust me you would know what to buy.

P.S. There are lot of scam which take place in this market, you should also know about them so that you dont get fooled.

It's best to observe at the beginning,
Know more, see more,
I won't be fooled,
And then whatever you buy remember that your preferred COM domain name,
It's best not to invest in some other ending domain name,
Then it's better to invest in some mainstream domain names,
When most people in the whole NP are investing in this variety,
Then you're on the right track

Welcome to NP and wish you all the best for your future investment.

As recommended in earlier post by senior and experience member please educate yourself. I will suggest you to focus on following things before investing single penny:
  1. Read this forum and familiarize yourself with the words related in this domain industry
  2. Spend at least 3 months in reading various forum, listening talk from experts and observing daily sales available every evening in various website like NameBio etc.
  3. Know your strength: subject matter, industry and geography where you have command and start first in those sectors
  4. Domain is not about permutation and combination of words and letters it should have a meaning which could be easily understand by others or when you explain. Otherwise why somebody will invest their money ? Therefore apart from spelling and grammar focus on three things: domain length, pronunciation and rhythm (if it is long)
  5. Know your limitation: Do not buy in panic and know your budget limit. This sector is working from last thirty years and will continue for many decades so it is not like you missed the bus or now there is no opportunity for newcomers. The world is changing and so the technology, if you remember in last decade there was no words like twitter, facebook or instagram.
  6. Three key things to be successful here are: Knowledge, Creativity and Patience. Knowledge comes from your education, experience and exposure. Creativity could be mixing and experiencing different things and using popular words from one sector in different sector. And most important is Patient because here creating new words are easy but selling and that too to end user is toughest task. Therefore please ensure your domain should be in better quality for which you can wait many years for right investors.
  7. Find your niche area in terms of extension and sector and do not flow with the sells trend. Trend may give your overall sectoral idea but will not give you sales result.
  8. The poorest person here would be a person who has Money and big money but do not have above three traits.
Thank you and all the best!
