Where I can find my real pagerank ?

Ok i`m little confused, i went to http://www.seocompany.ca/tool/web-site-statistics/ and it says that my pagerank is 3 and when i go to other site to check my pagerank it says that my page is unranked . Where i can find the real pagerank of my page ?

Well, I've yet to find a reliable tool for this. Fake pagerank is hard to detect.

My best advice is to treat every pagerank claim as false until proven otherwise.

If anyone knows a pagerank checker that is 100% or even 95% reliable, I'd like to see the link.

You can check PR e.g. on prchecker.info or smartpagerank.com, but this won't help for fake PRs I'm afraid.

Historically Google's PR comes around every 90 days. Last update was April 30th. So many are expecting in the next few days. But the longest waiting period was something like 5 or 6 months. PR update history. So give it sometime. Anything in the next 2 weeks or so is what most people are expecting.

I also stumbled on a PR prediction tool. Most are just fun to toy around with and never really give you anything solid or promising.

still, watch out for fake pagerank if you're buying domains. none of the above will detect fake pagerank.

Because the Google Toolbar PR only gets updated once every few months, some unscrupulous webmaster may have faked their pagerank during the last update with 301 redirection, and the Google Toolbar may be showing a high PR for this page even when later it is not redirected anymore.

For instance, the page www.unscrupulouswebmaster.com modifies their .htaccess to do a 301 redirect to www.google.com and wait for the next pagerank update. Upon the update, the page gets a pagerank of 10 (google's pagerank). After the update, the unscrupulous webmaster removes the redirect and establishes his site on the page. The page is effectively PR 0, but the toolbar will show PR 10 until the next update.

Now this strategy won't fool Google, because the toolbar pagerank is not what google uses for true ranking. Google's too smart for that. They have their own ultra-secret ranking method and I'm sure it's not easy to fool them.

The toolbar pagerank is more for entertainment purposes, although in most cases it does reflect the page's real rank. It's not to be used for making business decisions.

Nice thread! I learned a thing or two after reading it
