Where do you register domains?

Hey,
I used Godaddy to register a few and got the whois privacy but where do you guys get domains from? I'd like to have the privacy, and off course I need to be able to sell the domains without a hassle. I want to try to play around with some brandable domains and see where it gets me.

NameCheap gives you free privacy for the first year. They are also better if you are at risk of having your ownership challenged (trademark etc). If that happens in GoDaddy, they slap you with a $50 fee.

I use GoDaddy for names I don't care about, and NameCheap for the rest.

Thanks. I might try NameCheap at some point then, I'm currently using GoDaddy because of price and if I sell a domain I can transfer it to another GoDaddy customer pretty easily and quickly IIRC.

And since you mentioned trademarks, I want to try to snatch some brandable domains and I was wondering how to know if I may have issues with trademark or anything. Do I just search the name on Google or is there a better way? I'm new to this, I just had some domains that I was intending to use and ended up on here :blink:
