Would not trust a .net, and would not trust a site called iDotz. Both together is a site I would not touch - especially not for the 4 cents less.

iDotz.net in my experience is a great company,
always good and trustworthy with me :)

I would have to agree, though - Fabulous/Moniker in my opinion.

You get what you pay for and, with domains, I would like to be able to sleep peacefully at night.

I've used iDotz for buying some ccTLDs a .info names when they had a 99 cent promo, all have been going good so far since I started using them 2 years ago.

If you really wanted to penny-pitch, you could just transfer your .com domains back-and-forth between iDotz.net and star.registerbird.com each year. You'll be paying just 10-15 cents above the registrars' own costs. A 60-cent-per-renewal saving over GoDaddy's $7.59 rate might not seem too enticing for small portfolio holders, but if you own 1000+ domains, the prospect of saving $600+ on renewals annually makes this back-and-forth transfer scheme an extremely viable option.

GoDaddy's $7.19 price ($6.99 + $0.20 surcharge) is hard to beat. GoDaddy has good customer support; one can actually call them.

Not sure if there are any GoDaddy transfer-in discount coupon codes, but if there are, you could potentially transfer-in .com domains for under $7 or perhaps even below registry cost.

Note that for some other extensions, such as .info, and even .net sometimes, the registry cost may much lower, so be sure to shop around. But for .coms, there are never registry discounts, so anything below $7 is rock bottom pricing.

I use godaddy too. The transfer is considered cheap but the renewal would be at a higher pricing than the transfer after 1 year
