When you sell a domain does the content follow

Here is a newbie question
Lets say I sell a domain.Does the content follow when you push a domain?

If you sell just the domain, you will push just it. If you sell the whole website, you'll need to make a backup of the website and send the whole package (domain + website backup).

The content on a domain is determined by how the "name servers" are set for that domain. If you have web hosting and setup a hosting account for a domain then you can have content that you add. If you change the name servers for a domain you buy, the content that was on that domain is not transfered to the new name servers.

This may be confusing, so the short answer is that if you push a domain and the name servers do not change, then the content will still show on the domain.
