When you register a domain is it better to register the plural or the singular of the domain. For instance I want to register a domain that has my company plus design in it. Would it better to register <blank>design.com or <blank>designs.com would would be better remembered if typed into a address bar? Which is more professional. I was thinking about pepsi, coke, nike, apple, etc.. and they all have the singular domain name, but with my stuff it is going to be about the designs (websites, templates, etc.) I have created. So, should it be design or designs. What do you think?

Which way sounds better? That can take it a long way. If you are able though I recommend getting both plural and singular

agreed with ken_o... if this is for your own company, reg both. another $9 a year as an expense will definitely be better than losing $xxxxxxxxxxx in sales a year. ;)

Cool, thanks for the advice. I been reading other threads over the topic and they usually say reg the singular, but I think your right. I don't know what I was thinking I should reg both of them. :D

I prefer singular but you should not risk loosing traffic
One visitor that transforms to a sale will pay your domain up to 2050

I registered one name for one customer with 15 misspells including plurals, misspells with plurals ....

It all depends on the words being used. I'd much prefer the plural flowers.com over flower.com any day because people shop for flowers, not flower (ie: where can I buy flowers?). But I'd much rather have the singular version of paint.com rather than paints.com for the same reason (ie: where can I buy some paint?). It all depends on how people use the word most often.

Correct. That's why both forms if they are available must be registered without hesitation. Just see the misspells of popular sites and one question will popup to your own head

"What on earth this person thought and entered this url to his browser"

IMHO the majority of names are better in the singular BUT that means not always.
Also regging both can be a useful cover....but not always! so there! er...it depends....
