Hello everyone, 2015 is approaching, any ideas, plans, resolutions, hopes, predictions, etc for the year in the world of domaining?

For us, we know that .coms will still reign but hopes that the general public accepts the new gTLDs and its' popularity increases! :D

Here's to everyone in Namepros and the domain industry a Happy New Year and a good 2015 & beyond!

Get a bit wiser with my domain investments and actually put an effort in selling the ones I acquire that is reaching out to end users and not just rely on my homepage and established markets.

I know. I was mobile at the time and made a couple lengthy posts on a 5" screen. By the time I saw this, I just made a joke out of it instead of providing actual tips and guidelines of success for people to follow. :)

Haha but still, it is a legit resolution and something that we are aiming. All the best to every domainer in the domain world!

That's a good one. So many domains, so many developed business plans, not enough time to focus on 1. Maybe my New Year's resolution will be to develop 1 minisite a week by myself to learn a trade on top of management, etc.

I tend to be drop catching and hand registrations even more lately, increasing on average about 20 more domains a day.

I use GIMP for photo editing and can make pretty decent "vectors" with an Android FlatUI look in Microsoft Word as well. My skills for Photoshop and Illustrator have gone, since haven't touched them from Version 6.

Maybe ...nevermind, hit me up.

Build my brand. Got to stop waiting for the end users to find my name. Going to build out my site, put into play my SEO skills and hope for the best. Got some other things inline with this but the first step is to go live and after that everything else will fall into place

Less domains at the end of the year.

Yeap, the hard part is to find end-users who are the ones paying retail prices. Domaining is such unique niche industry

This is kinda iffy and a time waster in my opinion. If a domain is valuable, it will be found. I do not have a public site up, nor have I tested domain sales with listings on my brand as opposed to how i do it now.

Since I'm comfortable as with receiving emails (yes, even serious offers with privacy on to those who believe privacy deters people!) and making sales, I know for a fact that a name sells itself. It's not what brand you put it on.

In the case of Sedo, etc., sure. You have an increased chance to sell as it's easier to locate. However, a lot of the markets are being saturated and it's becoming harder to find a gem within what should all be gems to an extent.

Tell us how it goes by 2016 though. :P

Do something with my domains instead of just renewing and buying. Actually put forth some effort in learning and taking action.

I hear what you are saying. I am building my site as another platform. I am not giving up on the marketplaces at all but just building out my own central location. So if they find one domain of mine (from the whois or forwarded, then they can find others as well....those others beign mine and not other peoples.

Also with a background in SEO and some skills in social media that is just a bonus.

It is indeed a good idea to build your own domain portfolio site if you can do it right, I don't regret my choice making mine, it's rather the opposite I'm gonna develop it further.

I plan on using my parking income as seed money to develop a domaining platform. Lofty goals, but my goal nonetheless.

For 2015, converting my better domains into ecommerce sites at the rate of one site per week, for 50 weeks, then spending 2016 fleshing those sites out. I am building a network of small retail sites, trying to build a living out of it.
