For those of you who didn’t get a chance to attend our first meetup, this one will be even better! The following message is an email sent out to all of the current Southern California Domaining Group members. Happy New Year Southern California Domaining Group (SCDG) Members! January is an exciting month for the domaining industry and what better way to bring this month in then to schedule a domaining meetup in Santa Monica, California!
As many of you know DOMAINfest Global 2010 will take place between January 26 – 28 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. Morgan and I decided to schedule a meetup on the 25th so that our meetup did not conflict with the dates of the conference. We also wanted to pick a date which would work for everyone, not to mention two special guests from out of town will be joining us as well.
The topic for January’s meetup is “Setting Resolutions & Achieving Goals.” Our industry is plagued by incomplete projects, domainers registering domain names and truly doing nothing with them. This is only one of the issues which effect the nature of our industry. Instead of focusing on this soar subject, we will discuss how one can set resolutions for the New Years to help them achieve there goals. Since this is a New Year why not discuss the goals we have each set for ourselves in and out of the domaining industry. Rumor has it that we just might have a couple of specials guests attending our meetup. If everything works out both Bruce Marler from Missouri.me / BruceMarler.com and Patrick Ruddell from ChefPatrick.com will be in attendance. Both of these individuals have made quite an impact on our industry. It will definitely be an informative session with both of these guests in attendance.
The venue of choice this time is World Cafe, located in the heart of Santa Monica, California. World Cafe has an amazing menu, with great food and drinks. You can view the menu here: World Cafe Menus
