I'm catching the tail end of this, seems to be some kind of controversy...

https://domaingang.com/domain-news/rob-monster-off-twitter-after-christchurch-massacre-controversy/

Must be something odd to evoke this type of a response from one of our members.

I believe Joseph is right about the context here. As for Frank, whose opinions I welcome, I believe he suffers from normalcy bias. It is common so I don't fault him because it is the case with much of the world. That said, at this point, I do believe Frank is spamming this thread for reasons that I could speculate about.

Speaking of normal, it is not normal that the #5 most popular movie in the box office this week, Unplanned, had their Twitter handle suspended multiple times and followers removed during the opening weekend of a movie that speaks honestly about the single largest cause of death: abortion. Twitter is a known censor.

The statistical reality is that the #1 cause of death is not heart disease or cancer. It is the willful extermination of children, unborn and now post-natal. It is the same topic that I have also posted about on my personal Twitter during February as you can see from the screen shot here:

Show attachment 114489

I strongly believe that one of the main way that people place themselves under Biblical curses is through willful sin, of which murder of a child would be very high on the list.

I do look at the world through an eternal lens, it does cause me to consider my fiduciary duty to all of humanity and not just to shareholders and existing customers. I believe that protecting lawful expression on the Internet is part of that fiduciary duty. It is a shame that more registrars have not done the same.

For those not aware, I have long practiced what I called "enlightened capitalism". In fact, it was the handle of my LinkedIn profile going back to before the start of Epik in 2009. The thesis there is that it should be possible to do well by doing good, and to do good while doing well.

As for when to post or not not post on social media, including NamePros, I sometimes use the expression "wise as serpents. harmless as doves". It is from the Bible. I won't explain it here, but it underscores a philosophical point about picking and sequencing battles.

I think it is pretty clear from a number of conversations, both online and offline, that the voice of the Christian conservative is to be silenced. The rooting out of such narratives is a global phenomena and is systematic. A rational person might ask themselves why. Those with eyes to see, already know the answer.

My advice to all is to keep searching for truth and to do it with urgency as your window for doing so is being closed which is why projects like WatchMask.com allow you to watch YouTube videos without tracking and then download them.

As for those Netizens, on Namepros and elsewhere, who are willfully complicit in the ongoing exercise to censor lawful content, they are foolish (see Psalm 14 for context). They don't realize it yet, but it is an absolute certainty and the error of their complicity will eventually be revealed. Forgive them. I have.

1) I'm not suffering at all.
2) I am aware of the possibly not normal functioning of epik.com as a registrar
when Rob Monster keeps on posting his view of the world
3) I'm worried about the safety of the domains at epik.com

what happens if epik gets issues
based on the not normal functioning of a CEO?

of course, pets are much better than husbands
someone who is divorced here?

I am happily married to a great woman. We have 5 kids. Here is a photo from a family get-together a few weeks ago. All of our kids live in Seattle -- 4 grown and 1 at home.

It just so happens, that the one who does not smile in the back left (Klaas) is the only non-Christian. That said, he is a great guy too and wonderfully compassionate. I think you would like him, Frank.

As for pets, we have 2 dogs --an Australian Labradoodle (Georgia) and a Maltese (Ollie). We love them too but since animals don't have souls, we enjoy them in this life but likely not in the hereafter.

With all due respect, you may be right that you don't have normalcy bias even though most do. However, there is likely another bias at work and that is "Confirmation bias".

You might think that I am the one with confirmation bias, but it would be a hard case to make since I held largely atheistic/indifferent beliefs until around 2007. As a youth, was actually thrown out of my brief introduction to Sunday school for teaching kids how to cuss in Dutch during class. Ooops!

Also, for calibration, my Dad is about your age. He is still a fairly hardened atheist -- a Fulbright school, who grew up reading Nietszche and Bertrand Russell, etc. His Dad, also an atheist, was the main town doctor.

In short, it is safe to say that I did not grow up with much of a religious bias.

So with that as context, as an exercise, just for fun, I invite you to consider the following statements that many truthseekers believe:

Jet fuel did not take down the Twin Towers (Keyword: Building 7)

Witchcraft did not end at Salem (Keyword: local coven)

The Apollo missions never went to the moon (Keyword: Kubrick)

The world is flat - (Keyword: ice wall)

Just take 24-48 hours and look it up.

As for the thread-opening topic related to the recent events in Christ Church, let me say that I don't doubt that people died there. There is a reasonable discussion to be had about how they died, who did the shooting, and why. One of your countrymen, Wolfgang Eggert, has written about the topic recently here.

And yes, Frank, I love pets too. So, let's hope you are right that pets can have eternal souls.

For what its worth, I don't consider the current Pope to be a particularly great authority, nor do I place a whole lot of confidence in the modern doctrine of the institutionalized religions who bow to Rome.

it's ridiculous to believe that building 7 collapsed
.. out of fear ?
.. out of shock?

Witchcraft did not end at Salem (Keyword: local coven)
I never heard of that

The Apollo missions never went to the moon (Keyword: Kubrick)

they just stopped sending signals to the mirror
on the surface of the moon
that was measuring the distance moon - earth
that Apollo 11 or so had planted there
- they didn't throw it up -

Did I say that?

Your buddy said you believe tons of BS so seems likely then
The worst thing that I could ever say about him is that he has a weird conspiratorial streak. In particular, he interprets every massacre as a "false flag" โ€“ from 9/11 to the synagogue shooting to this New Zealand attack. Yes, even the moon landing. Rob told me he believes that flag is false too.

Does this "conspiracy theory" reflex make him a bigot who condones violence? No, not at all. It might make him somebody's "crazy uncle" who thinks far too much about the JFK assassination and the Apollo mission.
No one is censoring stupid flat-earthers :xf.laugh:

why the heck should they recommend them?

Because some people are looking for answers to questions like why can't you visit the "South pole", or why flights are routed in seemingly indirect ways.

That's why. If that video goes away, it is backed up here where it can also be dowloaded.

Questions are fun. Free speech lets you answer them to your satisfaction. It does not hurt anyone.

โ€œThere is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.โ€ Issac Asimov

it doesn't hurt an intelligent human

but it hurts children
and it hurts
easy to manipulate individuals

and when I think about it a little deeper
it leads to the idea of the public
that you can't believe anything you see
in the media / video / youtube
and finally leads to:
somebody like you, Rob does believe video is haox
where actually 50 real people die

so it doesn't hurt
maybe not quite true

As for the kids perhaps we should start by not telling them fables about Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. Ah, but that is harmless. Or is it.

As for teens, I imagine most kids are too busy playing video games, keeping up with the favorite social channels, or discovering porn. I actually think it is the adults we have to worry about.

As for the events in NZ, no debate that folks died. The truthseekers just want to know how it happened, who did it and why they did it. The alleged assailant is still waiting arraignment.
