Rob is doing it the way it should be done. PR firms? Business to run? What are you, kidding me? He is the PR, and this is his business. The way you "think" things should be done, well, you've been brainwashed to believe it so. You should be supporting this type of collaboration between a CEO and regular Joe, urging other companies to follow suite. Rather than hiding behind bogus firms and third party protectionism.
Rob is a trailblazer, and in this era, a refreshing redefinition of connecting to your customers.
Domainers seem to like Rob, so he must be doing something right.
Thats the point right? Its all business. How about that HuffPost interview. Your association with Gab, 8chan and all those guys who want to gun the rest of us or send us to gas chambers?
Not fires but business? I wanted to ask you about especially the claims made about your thoughts on jews, in that HuffPost just to be sure, that in the world where we judge and dismiss others so often, I am not making the mistake to judge you without hearing from you. Coming from a Jew black, and a customer of yours for many years, maybe I have the right to ask in the interest of free speech?
HuffPo is largely weaponized propaganda, as is Vice.com and SPLC. If you don't acknowledge that you are either asleep or complicit. Wakey-wakey.
Looking back, I think Frank is the only customer who left, or at least started to leave. It is a pity because I secretly like him a lot! He actually still has some domains with us.
Happy to chat anytime. I am pretty accessible as you likely know if you are an Epik client. Good to meet you.
Proof? You can dismiss any media you disagree with or don't like using loaded labels.
not all, I guess
I am not sure you are actually this naive, but on HuffPo, see here:
You can't actually comment. If you do, they remove your comment if is not aligned to their narrative. That article would have had 3000 comments but they blocked most people from commenting and stripped out most of my comments.
How is that for some mainstream media nonsense?
As for Escrow.com, I suggest you read page 6 of the thread in context, starting here:
I think it is clear where that stone came from and who threw it.
I am not clear on your agenda @TCK, but I certainly am not impressed with it, thought I have given you the benefit of the doubt many times.
the last thing I want to see
is the CEO of a company
I'm associated with by having my domains with them
consistently being associated with
"voices" I would rather not hear about.
Did you recognize that your lastest PR attempt
is showing up "right" next to a holocaust denier?
hosted or at least somehow related to epik?
By the way, I really enjoy these 2 ladies' perspectives:
Refreshing to hear smart women with clear heads.
Many news sites have stopped allowing commenting altogether due to abusive or inappropriate comments. That's their prerogative and right. Doesn't make them "weaponized propaganda".
The beauty is that if you disagree or there is any incorrect info in that article, you are free to write a thought-out articulate rebuttal on one of your platforms. And allow those 3000 comments. Also you can send a letter to the editor with your rebuttal. Publish it online. Etc. But labels, like "weaponized propaganda" without any proof, are cheap. And if you feel you were libeled against, you can even sue.
How was that a stone thrown at you? It's a factual statement.
Not everyone has to have an agenda. Maybe it's just that some things don't sit well with me. I wouldn't expect you to be impressed.
I really don't believe you are this naive. After all, you are among the first to cast a stone and indeed you threw it hard before you had even a foggy idea about me.
Example from your underwhelming and generally unread hit parade:
Part of the reason why this NamePros thread is the most popular thread in modern history is because people like authenticity. They are tired of being told nonsense.
You are welcome to point out inaccuracies, write rebuttals, etc., it's all part of the free speech platform. You have to make your case, if you have one. You can't just label people and call them names.
I would disagree. The main reason this thread is so popular is the fact that you have posted many controversial, even extremist, things. It makes one wonder what your agenda is with all that?
Oh this is horrible stuff. Guys is it Frank, TCK and I alone who see the worst in the picture above or herein. This stuff is not a joke. People hurt when they see this. Holocaust stuff is as dead serious as you know....why hangout in such pits like where that video is?
My wife caught me looking at that video and she said "dont you be watching that stuff in our house" I mean seriously what the heck Rob..
that to me looks like those are really evil people
of the ones my parents had warned me
one of them even looks like laughing
No, it's not just us. If you go back and look at the posts from the start of this thread onward, you will see a lot more people outraged at the posts that @Rob Monster made on Np, Twitter, and elsewhere.
However, for most of us, our primary focus is running a business. Many have turned Rob off completely because getting upset each time he posts is not healthy. It is destructive and distractive. Plus Rob has made a reputation for Epik and their related services (BitMitigate, Anonymize, us.tv, etc) as a welcoming company for extremist, mostly hate speech and conspiracy theory content. This is the result of branding his business as a haven for free speech. That's a dog whistle to those that like to publish such offensive, hateful, racist content. Because otherwise, you could go with just about any Internet company. So, doesn't look like we're going to change his mind.
Recently, Rob has toned down his postings of controversial material (at least on Np) and posted more about new services being launched by Epik. My latest issue with Rob is how he publicly maligns the companies he sees as biggest competitors to those new Epik services. Not to mention the media that is critical of him. I think he is taking more than a few pages out of a well-known real estate mogul's playbook.
Here we go again. More vain attempts from TCK to participate in character assassination.
As for Ghodeus, he may be a lovely guy. The contents of our private dialog are private by mutual agreement. I have yet to confirm that he is actually a client.
To recap: I am one who believes in free speech within the bounds of US law. If the US law changes, our policies will adapt to that law.
Otherwise, we allow free speech that does not incur targeted harm, through doxing or incitement of violence. If folks see exceptions we review those at [email protected].
Our business is up strongly in 2019 in part because humanity is tired of lies, and prefers authenticity, People see through the nonsense. They want truth and to empower truth.
The simple fact is that I love everyone and judge nobody. I even love the people who persecute me, including TCK, who claims to be a Christian, and does know scripture.
And I am content to be loved by the few rather than tolerated by the many. If that stance rubs the Godless neo-Marxists and false prophets the wrong way, so be it.
We are focused on innovating to build a better Internet for everyone through world class solutions for registrar, resilient hosting, and domain market-making.
If someone has a dream for how to make something work better on the Internet, we are happy to advise, regardless of whether it makes us a penny of profit.
Epik: Full service. All inclusive. No nonsense.
There is a difference between loving everyone, not judging the person, and condemning speech and actions that are against Godly principles and fellowman. You have to separate the person from the actions. You can love someone and at the same time hate their actions. God loved Cain but hated his twisted speech and actions. And even took the time to give him loving counsel, which Cain ultimately rejected and allowed his hate for his brother to foment to the point of murder.
Today some people swim in hate that leads to terrible acts. Why give them a platform? Is that Christian?
My question to you is why do you feel that the US law is the only authority on free speech?
As one who claims to be a devout Christian, I would imagine that divine law would guide you even where there is no US law on a matter.
For example, Matthew 5:22:
"But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire"
It's not talking about just action, it is talking about "saying", speech. In particular, speech that can lead to the ultimate act of hurting one's fellowman.
Non sequitur and, to my eyes, a consistent pattern of bad exegesis of scripture. I am not angry with TCK but apparently he is angry with me. I love my fellow man enough to risk all that I have and all that I am so that others can ask questions and seek answers.
As for scripture, here is something much simpler:
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13
I live that truth every day. When it comes to empowering truth, there is no profit motive and there is no ego. If I felt I was not called to hold the line on lawful free speech, I would definitely not be taking these shots.
Those who think Jesus was some weenie missed the plot. Jesus tossed out the money-changers from the temple. They were teaching nonsense and making a buck, just as the Vatican does today for "filthy lucre".
The Internet is still hugely empowering for folks to search the truth. Yes, they will also find evil, which is how guys like Jeff Epstein and his sponsors got spectacularly exposed with irrefutable evidence that cost some folks their lives, (e.g. Isaac Kappy recently).
I am not going to convince TCK of this but I believe it is better to have evil exposed to salt and light, and to engage overcome evil with good, rather than to pretend it does not exist while allowing it to foment in dark corners.
As for why US law, it is because that is where Epik is domiciled, and that is the law that our Terms of Service enforces. The default court jurisdiction is King County, WA where Epik is headquartered.
Although we have zero pending litigation, we do have capable counsel ready to go should it be required. For the right case, we're fully prepared to escalate to the US Supreme Court.
All that said, we are not a "Free speech" registrar. We are a commercial enterprise that is empowering domain investors on 6 continents to succeed. We happen to be governed by principles that are comparable to the Founding Fathers of this nation.
Some of your posts did get me upset, true. Some may call it righteous indignation. But I learned to keep it in the right place. I have no ill will towards you. And I hope to convince you on the basis of love and the faith you profess.
True, but if you believe that then you must apply it in light of the one I quoted earlier. If we are willing to die for someone, clearly we will not allow for the propagation of hate for them while we are still alive. Jesus died for all people of all races, even for those that died before him and for those that never knew him or even heard of him.
In my experience, the deeper anyone goes down the rabbit holes, the more they will find strength of conviction about eternal truth. Some can choose to stay at the surface and most people are satisfied to do that. Others choose to search out the matter.
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
- Proverbs 25:2
And so I say let the people search things out and trust people to apply discernment. Most won't but some will, and sometimes at their own peril. The alternative is to place blind faith in arbitrary policies of censorship and self-censorship through social pressure.
I do think there will be some challenges in the digital, e.g. "Deep Fake" technology which can literally put words in peoples' mouths. However, this why we need free speech to challenge and debunk technology-enabled propaganda.
You can read a damning summary of Rob Monster and Epik on Wikipedia. It is edited and locked down by a Satan-worshipping radical feminist who my sources tell me is too broke to bother suing for defamation. More here:
Thankfully people can be educated so that they wake up to the reality that Wikipedia is no longer an authority and that it is in the process of being weaponized along with much of the rest of the Internet.
But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. - Ephesians 5:13
By all means, feel free to stick your head in the ground. I chose not to and I am comfortable with that choice, as I believe I was called to stand for truth.
If I could do this in stealth, I would do so, but unfortunately, there is no hiding who is the registrar of a domain, nor can you hide the DDoS provider. That is the way it is.
there is a huge difference in exposing hate and violence
and giving it a platform and help to promote it
