.mobi What would Flowers.mobi sell for today?

Since the mobi hype has subsided I have been pondering how much Flowers.mobi would sell for if auctioned (quick sale) at Sedo. Personally, I think around 25k would be about all the domain would bring. What are your thoughts as to its current value if auctioned today?

Resales of .mobis are purely driven by speculation at this point in my opinion. The early high dollar sale of flowers.mobi added a great deal of hype to the speculative nature of the extension.

I don't believe the name would sell for more than $200,000 at this point. My guess is it would be lucky to sell for much more than half that. I think the .mobi shows some life and some promise, but there are just too many unknowns at this point. $200,000 would buy a very nice .com that would have guaranteed revenue for many years to come. The .mobi is a gamble at this point. A smart gamble? maybe. Time will tell. Speaking of .tel :hehe:

Fact is. .mobi is a reality, and a global tld that is not going away. If you want your .mobi name to increase in value stop speculating and start developing!

I really don't see why I even need to tell you something so incredibly obvious.

you are incorrect, it is far from obvious

it has a lot to do with the mobile application of a domain

flowers and pizza are the kind of purchases people make on the spur of the moment where they would much more likely to use a mobile phone

the number of people that need to check stock prices every 30 minutes are relatively small and most of them will be checking via their already established broker through their (hopefully) mobi

all stocks.mobi can do is run a ticker and send alerts which will be done by hundreds of sites like yahoo etc

checkout stocks.com and stocks.net they are both parked pages .....
parked pages won't be nearly as valuable on mobi as the fixed internet

flowers and pizza have more tangible mobile value
