Hi all,

I have a load of domains that I purchased 2 weeks ago and want to sell. I've set up my own domain selling website PinkAppleDomains.com and slowly getting around to redirecting the domains from my Namecheap and Godaddy account to my domain selling website.

My question is can a redirected domain be indexed on google so that it shows up on search results? Also is there anything else worth doing to the domains whilst they are in a redirection status?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

You should probably have asked this question before you put in all that work. The domain name for your marketplace might do you a disservice. :xf.grin:

Redirect all your domains to their respective listings in your marketplace. If the domains have good backlinks, you might see some SEO benefits.

You may want to change that marketplace domain name first.

It appears that Google does not index redirected domains (which makes sense since they don't actually have content of their own):

I don't think there is anything you can do to a redirected domain. Other than waiting for potential buyers, of course.

Ok so would it be better if I bought a shared hosting plan and then install Wordpress on all these domains with a 1 page notice saying something like Domain name for sale. To buy this domain go to PinkAppleDomains.com with a clickable link and then registering the website on google search console?

They get index if the domain being redirected has not been banned and has existing backlinks. I have proof of that. In the google search results, you will see the domain name with the title and description of the page to which it has been redirected. Do a search in google using: site:domain.com (replace domain with your domain name).
