I was interested in buying domain with revenue from parking.Someone PM on other forum with his domain and revenue from parking at sedo.I saw some screenshots of his earnings.I decide to pay 30 months revenue for his domain. The transaction was done through Sedo.

AFTER i BOUGHT IT THERE more 70% less clicks and revenue.

What shall I do? or better what can I do?

30 months revenue?! Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but people usually pay 10-12 months revenue, not 30!

I'm not really sure how you're going to get your money back...PayPal's protection policy doesn't cover non-tangible goods.

You say 70% fewer clicks - are the unique visits similar? If they are, then maybe you are using the wrong keywords.

If you are getting 70% less UV's - where was the traffic coming from previously, type-in or backlinks etc?

Yep you cannot trust any traffic figures............simple. It is a big mistake
to just buy up traffic domains based on previous traffic which is likely to be
inflated. You cannot prove the traffic shortfall is not just some random event.
I am sorry this has happened but I just can't see what comeback anyone can possibly have - the past is not necessarily a guide to the future and no one can
guarantee your future trafffic numbers will be the same as in the past.

People need to stage the payments on these traffic type numbers if targets are met then future payments will be made if not they won't and you can even insert a clause allowing the original seller to buy back the domain is he blames you for the traffic shortfall.

Sorry to hear it - I'd Contact SEDO to see if they can find anything irregular about the traffic ... And I would definitely let the Staff at the other forum (Possibly here as well) know about this incident.

I'd complain to SEDO as much as possible if they handled the parking and transaction .... They should be able to tell you something about the stats.

Depends on the buyer - and their intentions .... I've seen as high as 36 months paid on actual sites / domains with long term and consistent stats.

I tend to agree with "quality" on this now - If you don't know the person or have a long term way of checking their reputation - Beware of their claims.
I see people trying to turn over domains based on only a few days/weeks of stats too often now - It's not worth it unless the domain / keywords make complete sense compared to the stats. I've stopped buying based on traffic and income +/- now and If I do any time soon , There will be 3-6 months of stats -OR- I'll know the person VERY Well.

It depends on the quality of the name and traffic. The big boys (iREIT, etc) pay upwards of 8 years revenue for high-quality generics. If you think about it, a very high quality traffic name with revenue is like a dividend paying growth stock. To buy for 12 months revenue would be like buying that type of stock with a P/E ratio of 1. The seller would be crazy to sell that low. I've sold most of my revenue names on average for 24-30 months.

Yes.Usually this is the period range.

So...The only thing that I can do is to ask someone from sedo about it.Thanks to God that I didn't spent to much money on it ( if there is any good thing in losing money) :)

The sale is another version of pump and dump. I think you have lost your moolah on this one. What data was in the screenshots presented to you?

What months were the stats in question in ? Because there is known to be a internet downturn during the summer months maybe this could have something to do with it , even though 70% is a huge difference just something to take into consideration.

That's scarry, I keep wanting to buy domains based on traffic for investments, but I can't find any way to tell "for sure" it is what they say it is. There should be a 30 day traffic clause or something.
