What is the first DN you ever registered or bought?

Just wondering what everone's firsts were. And then how much longer was it until you registered another name?


My first was ArtfulIdeas.com I didn't register another one for about a year.

My family name on 22 Jan., 1999 -- Harkrider.com -- I once had a personal type site but now it is mostly an email thing.

Was several years before I reg'd another one and I don't even remember what it was.

I believe my first was Pinotgris*net back in '04. I sold it last year.
It was only a day or two before I regged my next one.

After a lot of research to find an unregged spelling of the word chili, I regged chilies[.]com when NetSol were a monopoly. I used it to convert my BBS to the internet. It's a mix of both the English and American spelling of the plural of chili. My BBS was called The Chili Channel. I lost the domain in the debacle of renewals at NetSol because my email address was no longer valid and I couldn't change it, or renew the domain. I never forgave NetSol for that. It was picked up by the cybersquatter, UltSearch from Hong Kong. Funny, my recollection was this happened before (way before) the creation date in the whois (2002). UltSearch are still holding the domain to this day. My next domain purchase was after I lost that domain. 2stu[.]com, which I used for personal email for a while. The creation date of that is also 2002, so maybe my memory isn't so good. I still own that. My next purchase was approx 2 years ago when i entered the world of domaining.

Im embarassed now to say it, but back in 2005 I registered SiriusSatelite[.]net - I believe it was.... A mispell in .net TLD - I was so stoked to find it available.... 2 years makes a difference.

my first day i regged 2 domains together: gainnopain-com and highdamage-com, three days later i buyed another useless domain.

Mine was OctaneInvesting.com, was about 3 months before I regged another, OctaneInvesting.com is still a pretty hoppin site today.

Got it for around $20 bucks on ebay 2.5 years ago...I still hold on to it for sentimental reasons

First buy...First Mistake.....First trip to Namepros(before I became a member).

how does it affect a site if it was regged, then it dropped and became avail, and hen regged again?

my first site- its avail right now- i first regged it in 1998- it shows that in archive.org- but if i regged it again, does it lose its value as an older domain?

Then I forgot to renew it, and since the site was getting some traffic, some guy backordered it. After few days, searching on google, I found it sold on sedo for $450.

That's when I discovered domaining.
