How many of you can remember the first domain name you ever purchased?

What was it and what did you do with it?

I registered WeAffiliate.com with $0.99 and sold for $300 on flippa and in this way make a first sale on Flippa and continue domaining.

It was FileHomes.com, I put a software repository on it (download free software, filehippo type).

I sold my first domain back in October 2014 for $40 which I got for free

MobileHomeDoctor.com went up in 1998 and is still active as the place where I published everything I had learned about mobile home repair. I still answer questions there.

We all remember our first domain. Like our first love, our first pet, our first beer, and our first bowl. On the topic of domains, unfortunately I had to have my domain put down not too long ago. I'd say more but I'm still kind of raw about it.

I build a Sports Finder App for finding running, cycling, marathons etc and I got the website name for the brand.
App was doing well had 2,500 downloads/signups but it was a lot of work to upload events on the back end so I've taken it off the App Store until I sort out an automatic system to upload events worldwide.

I put an option for event organisers to upload events themselves but it was too much work for them so they'd contact me to do it.

I need to update the website also as I was doing it all myself and learning how to build website at the time and I Haven't got around to it yet.

Needs around €5000 funding


The whole experience got me into domaining.

EZWebdesigns.com back in 1999. Still own it today. I look back at that and see several names that weren't registered before I got that name and kick myself.

CasualComputing.com sometime around 1996. I actually forgot to renew it in 98 and only noticed when my email stopped working. Luckily I was able to hand register it again. Still own it today.
