So I have two domains and both are for sale and one is parked and earned me $0.34 for having 3 ad clicks, is that a good rate? So I am going to buy some domains and some people say parking it is better then posting articles and having affiliates on it? Which makes your money? So I understand an affiliate is an ad but through what service do I get those and through what service should I build the website if I was to write my own articles.

Thank you

1. It depends on domain name you have. Generally for parking to bring a decent revenue it has to be a really really good domain name (like sex.com)
2. Good development is always better than parking.
3. Parking is slowly shuting down as a business model.

Your CTR is average. But it's also important in what time did you get those 3 clicks. Is that in one day or one month?

You can find affiliates on essociate.com.

Affiliate can have many meanings.

What to do depends on your domain names, your interests, skills, talents, how much time you can invest, and how much money you want to make.

How are you driving traffic to your site?

Google search ranking simple sites anymore. Page 999 maybe. LOL! :).

Let's say you own a domain like TaxSystemsReviews.com

You're parked page may get almost 0 hits.

You could put up a website, with some interesting contents, and you could have links to other sites, like TurboTax, etc.

TurboTax may or may not have an affiliate program, if they did, you could have a tag on that link that would pay you for each click.

That could pay more than parking or Adsense, yes?

Affiliate can have many meanings.

Nope. And an "affiliate" is not an ad.

An "affiliate program" is a marketing strategy where a company (the "merchant") offers web site publishers (i.e. you) a commission (flat fee or percentage) based upon an action (sale, lead, etc.)taken by visitors who arrive at the nerchant's site by clicking through a link on the web site publisher's site.

When you join that program and agree to their terms and conditions, you, the web site publisher, become an "affiliate" of the company. They supply you with links and banners.

"Merchant" = the company offering the program
"Affiliate link" = the code you put on your site.
"Affiliate" = you.

Done right, you can make a lot more through affiliate programs than through parking and almost always more than adsense. Done badly, you'll make nothing.

'Affiliate' can be defined in 2 ways,
First one is an affiliate is a company that is related to another company, usually by being in the position of a member or a subordinate role.
Second one is one company may affiliate with another to sell products or services.
