I have read that starting an aggresive article marketing comapign by using places such as ezinearticles.com will jump up your traffic siginificantly and you can see a large boost in your adsense revenue (or whatever other ad program you use).

I have several domains parked over at Whypark.

So what exactly is article marketing? If I have tons of articles over at my sites provided by Whypark, what kind of articles do I write? I'm a noob, yes. And I'm looking to learn. I've tried looking on ezinearticles and other forums, but I can't get a striaght cut summary of what article marketing is. Just an explanation of what it is and how it boosts your site traffic would be greatly appreciated.

in my own words:
article marketing is writing specific articles regarding what your site or domain can do for the internet. article consists usually of by-line where you put your name and a resource box where you can put your domain, email and what you can do for them, usually used for backlink purposes as most article directories will not allow you to list your own domain link in the article itself so what i do is advertise on the by-line and the resource box. yeah traffic as well because the regular visitors of those article directories will visit your site.

the good part is it's viral in nature, as most of those members looking for domain content will copy-paste those articles on their site thus promoting you because of those by-line and the resource box.

@weblord, what do you mean by "by-line"? ( sorry if it's sounds stupid... )

So do I write articles reviewing other articles on my site? Articles about anything that I want that could be related to my domain? Such as, www.topgaminggear.com , I would/should write articles relating to gaming gear? Or articles discussing the articles posted on my website provided by Whypark?

Yes, I also have questions about this byline. Where does it go? It is not listed as a part of what you can submit, as seen here....

Another question as well. Now, I do NOT want to plagiarize by any means, but I will ask because I'm not sure what kind of ground this is on. Considering my websites have hundreds of articles provided by Whypark, do you think I can copy and paste them and submit them as articles? Just to sort of publicize them? Or is that over the line? Considering the articles hosted are for free use, I'm not sure where to stand on this and would appreciate any information that anyone has to offer.

Articles can get you tons of quality links and corresponding traffic. But you need to focus on some basic concepts.

1) Who needs these articles
2) What kind of articles are picked up most?
3) What keyword driven articles will make me the most profits.
4) How can I maximize my returns

1) Starting with, who needs these articles the most?
MFA (Made for Advertising) sites pick up these articles the most. That is why we see the ezine articles spread all over the internet. This is a huge opportunity to get hundreds of links.

2) Now, what kind of articles are picked up most.

Lets look at a reverse psychology. First we have to find out what keywords make up most of the MFA sites. We can safely assume that most of the MFA's are targeting high paying adsense keywords like debt consolidation, credit cards, insurance, student loans etc.

3) What keyword driven articles will make me the most profits.

We can easily infer from point # 2 that articles centered around debt consolidation, credit card debt, insurance etc will definitely make you the most profits. Why? Because if you write an original quality article on these topics, your article will be picked up by hundreds of sites in days. If you have a site monetized by adsense, you could really make decent income via visitors coming in from these new article based links. It is assumed that your site features a similar high paying keyword too.

4) How can I maximize my returns?

Take time to write a really helpful article. Something that gives readers additional knowledge. Make a keyword rich title, like " 10 Tips to Reduce Credit Card Debt". Here, Reduce Credit Card Debt is your keyword. It would be great if you could get a low competing, high paying keyword for your article. This is a bit tough, but if you are good at keyword research, it should be fairly easy.

Don't write articles about your site. Your article should focus on the main title theme and at the end write a thoughtful signature like " Wayne Writer is an experienced debt consolidation specialist based out of Chicago. To read more on Wayne's Effective Debt Solution Techniques Visit "your site link". That can get you substantial attention. :)

The final step would be to market your article so that it doesn't stay limited to just ezine. For this, spend a few bucks ($10) to submit upto 5 articles using isnare www.isnare.com. These guys have done a great job for me in the past and are pretty good. You can also check out other article submitters with a good track record. By doing this, you can easily get 500 links for each article. :)

Here is my own example: just do a google search for the words "domain name selling has for long" and you will notice that around 900 sites feature my 1 article. This is the power of articles. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Among the many other jewels of helpful tips, Varon writes, "You can also check out other article submitters with a good track record." Ohhh I'll not let you off that easily <g>. How/where does one find the reputable article submitters in the vast sea of potential contenders?

Okay, I've not tried most of the others. :) I can only quote what I use myself. And here's an invaluable tip to get hundreds of whypark site links.

Make sure to submit your article to www.searcharticles.net. This is whyparks own article directory. Once you get your article approved by them, you'll see them featured on all whypark sites based on your article keyword. :)

Good luck guys. :)

Besides, I'm gonna be a dad soon and this has pressurized me into making the most of my time trying to optimize my domains. I may later just want to relax and enjoy precious moments with my child rather than bother about domains.

I seriously need to take a break soon. I realized this when my wife asked me about some good baby names, and my fuzzy brains could think no more than
cctlds...
I need to get back to normal life...lol.

Congradulations Varon. Being a dad for the first time is a sensational feeling! I'm sure we Namepros members can help you with names instead of your (very funny) cctlds...

I'll kick off with: Raquel, Mena, Zina, Bela, Marina, Maria, Sofia, Natalia, and now for the Boys: Andre, Alvin, Daniel, Sergio, Sacha, Ricardo, Rajit and Ravi

Quick Question.....

I wrote and submitted a few articles to promote my sites parked at WhyPark and also obtain a few quality backlinks.

In the body of one of my articles I referenced a domain I have parked at Parked.com. Did I just do something highly illegal that will get me booted from Parked.com?

Your prompt responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

articles are for developed domains only not on parked, you can't drive traffic that way, it's artificial. don't refer to a parked domain.

Just great.... I screwed up one of the first articles I wrote. :td:

The article was not about my parked site though. The article topic was about a different website that I have and referenced that site in the Authors Signature at the bottom of the article. I mentioned the parked site in the body of the text, not to drive traffic to it but as a reference of products that are available. Now I realize the I shouldn't have done that because it MIGHT drive people to the parked site.

I'll contact the companies I submitted the article to and see if it can be edited before its distributed.

Thanks for the info!!
