What do people do with 5 N domain names?

I have seen a lot of requests in the domain wanted forum for people asking for any 5N domain. What do people do with a random number domain?

Sell them to other domainers.... Maybe some zip codes or other special numbers go to end users....

Mostly for reselling.But since the whole computer,it,etc technology has started with the basic binary numbering system,maybe a reason.This maybe just a case of investment. But still unsure.
