ok I won this really good mobi domain name which has many different dictionary meanings I regged in the the first few days mobi's were brought out to the public.

well this domain would be great for a mobi topsite/ mobi directory of all mobi sites style thing.

But I need to know how to go about developing such a site, all I know is HTML and basic PHP. What would i need to go to get a mobile top site or mobi directory up and running.

I plan on marketing this site and making it popular, doing this is no problem, as I have a background in online marketing and SEO =)
Development is my main problem as I am not the best in this area =)

any help on hand?

thanks

For a mobile directory, you could simply add some simple html for an email submit to submit the site in question. Ask them to include the site name, category they'd like it to be listed in, a title, and some relevant keywords. Then, just include all the sites that meet your guidelines on the site by adding them. Search the net for a free site search engine script and use that as a way for users to find relevant sites (based on the keywords they enter). Looking at your traffic stats, you'll be able to identify the top keywords, make these into individual links on your homepage.

Best of luck! There are many NPers here more knowledgeable than me who I'm sure would be more than willing to give you some assistance should you need further help or direction.
