Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I agree. Just thinking aswell, there isn't really a weaker variant between VRLive or LiveVR, but as a personal preference if someone gave me the choice between the 2, i would choose VRLive, it sounds like 'we are live' and just the perfect name to go with 'live'.

VR dot live available for 55K a year ,-)

I have LiveVR.org and VRLive.org in the portfolio .

Gamevr.co.uk

Go Go Team GB

Great name :)

The UK is a rare example of where the country tld is generally preferred over .com's amongst UK specific companies and you do see some very respectable .co.uk sales.

Reg'd a few myself, can't remember all off the top of my head but I have got:

Cinema VR.co.uk
Movies VR.co.uk
Bet VR.co.uk
Cams VR.co.uk
Dating VR.co.uk
Gaming VR.co.uk

Obviously a smaller niched market compared to .com's but there still could be potential going forward :)

Got himself a great price
fx was generous.
A year and a half ago I was negotiating to purchase VRtalk with the previous owner, wish I had followed through as they were willing to sell for $xxx at that time. Good grab by fx and good sale too... Ya snooze ya loose

Question for VR enthusiasts; VRIndia, VirtualIndia or IndiaVR? Using India as an example.

And the winner is....
....any of the above.
I think that would depend on the purpose for the name.
From a investment point of view, it's the one that is likely to have the highest demand.
One size does not fit all and each example word would be a case on it's own.

I pretty much agree with @VRdommy. Every case is different.

Although, if your focus is on VR, stick to "VR" - not "Virtual". It's incidentally shorter, and thus, easier to remember.

Good luck! :)

lol @FX I knew you're subscribed to this thread :)

Great to hear your success story, thanks!

I love this niche it's currently my fav :)

Regarding sales

last year was just a fluke as the Chinese pumped and dumped every niche... I was kinda lucky not getting too greedy when selling.

I always knew VRTalk was sold too cheaply. FX said at the time he was extracting money like a day trader, but mark my words that's a minimum $60K sale in 2-3 years.

It's like selling a LLL .com for $5K, would you do it? hell no.

But you can't critique the guy too much, he is a top salesman from what I've seen.

It's just a shame, cause I know a name like that will sell for much more relatively soon.

The VR portfolio that FX owns selling VRTalk for a good ROI doesn't really matter as he has plenty of VR 3L & VR 4L that will continue to give him great returns so it's no loss if he's making good ROI.

It's great to see VRTalk in use and I've joined it.

I'm sure you will have some great sales in the coming years as you are sitting on some great VR domains :)

No absolutely, but from what little I know of any great seller, they wouldn't like missing the mark so widely and leaving so much on the table. Oh well, we'll see in in 2-3 years if I was right or if I'm living in a fantasy world. As you say good ROI is all that matters. Congrats to everyone who has made a VR sale in the last year.

As a newbie seller myself, I'll probably make a hell of a lot more questionable judgements.

Thanks I'm sure we all will do well eventually and look back at 2015-2016 thinking we should have bought more, even though most of us have probably overspent a fair bit.

I've been in the game for 20 years I know when to sell and when not too.

I bought the said domain so cheap and sold in a few days... took the ROI... built the $ up and purchased a lll.com

... I keep hearing 2/3 years .. Hold hold hold its coming ....had I listened to that I would've still been sitting on a couple hundred Chinese Chips (bought at buyout 2007) instead while everyone was saying hold I sold at a average of $2500 each while the market was hot... Now it's dead.

A few of us know about the 3D niche same story hold hold hold then the whole niche/tech collapsed (bar 3Dprint)

If VRTalk sells for 1mill or 20 Mill I'm happy for the owner.. I've been given so much in life that I'm happy to see someone else have a little happiness too.

Cheers
