Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Sedo's auto pricing tools does not work well with the new GTLDs. Hell, they barely work for nongeneric .coms. Price them at a profit margin you would feel comfortable with. I've been seeing new GTLDs being used much more lately to include commercials. I saw a .Life being used for the release of a nationwide movie the other day.

I found only two recorded virtual . + any exstenion sales - .me sold for almost $3000 5 years ago and .estate sold for $8000 a few months ago. I don't know if they're using those two sales and rounding up but the recommended price is close to the average.

Once they're verified I think I might put them at make offer and see what comes in.

I've done my research on this, I think for Spanish VR names it's best to be keyword + VR, so your futbolVR is quite the gem.

I registered VRdeportes and was surprised and happy I got such a good domain, later on after trying to register more I saw a pattern that all the Spanish keyword + VR domains were taken, but all the VR + same Spanish keywords were still plenty and abundant.

After reading several articles in Spanish about VR they were referering to it as 'keyword en realidad virtual' ... but oddly when referred to by the acronym in other places it was 'VR'.

Point is, because they say for instance, "películas en realidad virtual", that word order is probably making the keyword + VR variant the best, and futbolVR is sweet as heck.

I did check the biggest, baddest keyword variations using both RV and VR in both positions and they were all taken. Maybe getting the RV variant is a good idea too, but don't quote me on that.

My latest round at multipurpose, geo / brandable:

zhongguoVR
nipponVR
VRnippon

Zhongguo means China or Chinese
Nippon means Japan

After reading about China and Japan being among the largest consumers of VR & AR I registered these domains, they could be brandable, they could be tours or they can be nothing ... but I feel pretty good about these.

And naturally I got the AR versions of these too.
